Can anybody steer me in the dirction of converting my detachable magazine to a hinged floor plate with extended magazine box or even a blind box as to seat a berger 210 30 cal out farther. As is the detach magazine will not allow this for my 30-378 weatherby in the sako m995. New stock and bottom metal ok option. Has anybody done this. Love the cartridge and hope to make a longrange shooter.

Re: Sako M995

There was a company out of Canada making a floorplate for the M995. I posted the name in another thread, search this site for TRG-S or M995. Use the google search method or you will lose your mind. Good luck,
Justin

Re: Sako M995

Wow. How much longet than 3.745 are you loading? (just curious...I have a TRG-S in 7 mm RM)
I see that as the max COAL on any reloading info for .30-378 WM. Are you trying to get the Bergers into the lands?

If so, what's the availability of the TRG stock?

I've got a TRG-S in 300Wby that I'd like to use.</div></div>

I am almost 99% sure they will, if the dont KRG-OPS is making a chassis for them in the next year

Re: Sako M995

It looks like the M995 will fit into a TRG-42 stock. You can purchase the stock components from Brownell's. However, it will cost you, dearly. You'll need a TRG trigger and magazine, that's about 6-700 right there if I remember correctly. Then add all the other stuff.

We'll be doing our Whiskey-3 for the M995 later this year after we get the first run for Tikkas out the door. It will take an AICS mag. Our Tikka price will be less than 890, M995 may be more due to lower volume, but should be close. Preliminary results are showing very good feeding.

Adam, thanks for thinking of us!

Thanks,
Justin

Re: Sako M995

With the Berger 210 being 1.49 case length of 2.913 and a COL of 3.648 I have .735 of the bullet sticking out of the cartridge. Knowing this I have .755 of the bullet seated. This is over half of the bullet. This compresses my load. To my understanding the 30-378 sako has the same free-bore as the s weatherby rifle. The long taper of the berger allows for a longer COL as it will reach farther down the barrel befor it touches the lands Knowing this with longer magazine I could get my bullets out further not compromise powder capacity and still not create extreme pressures. My understanding the bergers perform best way out there.

Re: Sako M995

Re25, you mean you have a Sako 995 in 300WM, or a Tikka 695 in 300WM? It it's the Sako, it will fit.

Acee and others, the plan for the W3 is to have it adaptable to use both standard length long AICS mags (300wm, 338) and the new CIP length mags which gives you a bit more room for a longer OAL. I can't remember the specs off the top of my head right now.

Re: Sako M995

Apogies to the OP for the side track. Re25, Mac Tilton at MT guns can get you the Master Sporter stock for the 695. That is probably my favorite stock. We may try to put the 595 and 695 series in the Whiskey-3 at some point, but they are not so prominent and are way different than the T3 actions.

Hi Massoud, I know this is a very old post. Any chance of KRG doing an inlet on the Whiskey 3 for the Tikka M695 model and the Howa LA and Howa Mini Action?

Best regards,
