I'm trying to find out which of these rifles is more accurate. I like the LWRC, but im not sure if the piston system will lower the accuracy. Anyone have any experience with either of these?

I have a DD and it shoots 10moa right and barely holds 2 inches at 100. Not impressed at all.

It won't, despite popular myths and urban legends. I've got four of em, and chainring can really speak to the precision of LWRC rifles, so hopefully he'll chime in here. But we can both say the piston doesn't harm your accuracy; The bullet has already left the barrel by the time the piston starts to cycle.

Re: Daniel defense M4 or LWRC M6A1?

The LWRC's going to be more accurate due to the medium contour barrel (at least that's my experience).

My LWRC rifles are moa with good heavy ammo....and 55 gr. PMC, surprisingly.

Are your sights not adjustable?

Re: Daniel defense M4 or LWRC M6A1?

I'm not sure what problemchild is talking about. I have a DD M4 and it shoots great. I've only shot 55gr hp through it so far, still need to run some LC 5.56 green tip. I would probably go with the LWRC if you have the money, better hurry up though, prices are starting to go up and supply will probably go down. My .02.

Re: Daniel defense M4 or LWRC M6A1?

Are you asking about they're quality differences or about DI vs Piston.

I went with a LWRC a while back, I've since sold it and now have a DD v5. They're both good quality, so I doubt you'll be dissapointed with either. Piston, was always nice to clean even when shot suppressed. Honestly, most ppl would never know the difference. For the money, the DD's are hard to beat.

If you're stuck on a piston, the LMT MRP is pretty slick with the barrel swap ability.

Re: Daniel defense M4 or LWRC M6A1?

Well I have a buddy that will sell me his LWRC for $1500, it has 20 rounds through it and I shot 10 of them. He has a POF as his primary rifle now. I was originally looking for a DPMS mini SASS, or a mk12 look a like. But that price for a LWRC will never happen again. I brought up the DD rifle because I was considering getting one anyway and possibly sharing the lower with a long range upper.

With all that said, if I can bang steel at a couple hundred yards with either the DD or LWRC then I'd just save my money for optics and more ammo. I'm on a tight budget, and just trying to get the most for my money. I hope to end up with a couple AR's eventually, but for now I'm looking for one to cover as many roles as possible.

Thanks for all the help
