Anyone on here have any time behind one of these thermal units? Thoughts? I appreciate any input.

What would you like to know? They are a 320 X 240 core that is interpolated up to 640X480 for the output screen. They are menu driven from a large button on top that it is very initiative to use. There are also two smaller buttons that raise and the lower the gain. The version with the IR laser is restricted to LE an Mil sales only. The larger eyepiece on this unit is very easy to see into.
Of all the thermal monos out there this is my favorite. If they ever offer it in 640 X 480 I will probably jump!

Nothing specific, just a general run down on your opinion if it was a good piece of kit. It would be used in conjunction with a Clip-on NV (preferrably the PVS 27) The thermal unit would be used for finding the target then hone in on it with the Clip-on in front of a 3.8x17.44 USO to take care of the critter!

This is exactly how I use any thermal monocular, in conjunction with a clip on mounted in front of a Day optic. For hunting it works grandly. I have been depopulating eastern Oregon of Coyotes as of late.
As far as the MTM goes, it is a good piece of equipment. I made an adapter to run the Night Optics 3X Afocal and that is where this unit really shines!!! As I mentioned if they release this in 640X480 I will be all over one!

Yeah they do and I even have one in 640x480 as a demo unit. The OP asked about the MTM. I do like the M18 but I REALLY like the MTM.
