I just put it back and day dream instead. </div></div>

Lmao! Ya all the hot rifle porn in this thread sure makes my fat ugly rifle seem boring.

Re: XLR Chassis Stock

Ok that's it, I can't stand it anymore. I'm ordering one.

Re: XLR Chassis Stock

I have one for sale for a Rem 700 in the assesories/addons page.
Mtnhtr, that is a very good looking rifle. Do you sleep with it too.

I think I might. Have been known to just sit in my chair and hold mine. HAHA.

Re: XLR Chassis Stock

I wonder what the current wait time is...

Re: XLR Chassis Stock

Finally got my XLR stocked M995 ready to go shooting with; just hadn't had time to get the action drilled/tapped for the US Optics base (by the way, big thanks to USO for making the screw hole spacing actually make sense), and the base shortened to work with the handguard clamp. Once it's been test fired, the barreled action, bolt and brake will get blasted and Cerakoted in Sniper Gray.

My camera phone doesn't do so well in lower light, so this will have to suffice for now.

Re: XLR Chassis Stock

Karl @ Kampfeld Custom did the flutes.

Love the XLR...it just feels so natural and well built. Magazine release system is the best I've ever seen on a rifle.

Re: XLR Chassis Stock

Has anyone been in contact with Kyle?

It's been a week since my last email with no reply.

No one at the telephone either.

Re: XLR Chassis Stock

It happens sometimes. Kyle gets busy. The end result is he makes a good product and takes care of his customers but there are times when he is very hard to get in touch with. You eventually will and he will take care of you when you finally do. In the mean time it can be frustrating.

Re: XLR Chassis Stock

The number that was on the invoice leads to that automated message saying something to the effect of "this number does not have the voicemail box set up"

I'll just haveto be patient.

Re: XLR Chassis Stock

The number I call is on his web page. I think it is the same as the one you call to order.

But I have always gotten a response to emails within 2-3 days at most.

Re: XLR Chassis Stock

guys... Kyle is expanding right now, in order to improve the lead times... w/ that he's also buying and training people on new equip... occasionally he'll be unreachable for a week or so, but relax... leave a message or and email, and he'll get back to you when he can.

Re: XLR Chassis Stock

Hi - I'm a long time lurker, first time poster....

This is a beautiful system and I am interested in purchasing it for my Savage 110 FCP. For those who have this stock, how does the Type II anodized finish compare to the typical AR hardcoating (Type III anodized)? Is the finish holding up pretty well?

I have beat the hell out of one and haven't had an issue with the finish.

Re: XLR Chassis Stock

I just ordered one last week. Mid July can't come soon enough. Another +1 for Kyle over at XLR Industries for great customer service!

Re: XLR Chassis Stock

We have a current delay for those of you that have chassis ready to be shipped out.

One of the few parts that we do not make in house are our butt stock buffer tubes. Our current supplier, Spikes Tactical, has promised that I would have these for over 6 weeks now. They have been our supplier since we started so our demand is no surprise for them. For some reason, Spikes has chosen to treat our business as "not important" as they refuse to address the delay. The few responses I get to my inquires are short and rude. We have sourced another supplier for these tubes and we take our first delivery at the end of May. If some how I do get the buffer tubes from Spikes in before that time, the orders will be filled and shipped immediately.

We greatly appreciate everyone's patience with us and are sincerely sorry for the delay you have encountered.

Please contact us with any questions.

Re: XLR Chassis Stock

That grey looks great with the black accents. If I didn't just buy a stainless rem 700 I'd be looking to do that. Kyle may want to add a new color option

Re: XLR Chassis Stock

If we're being honest, I wouldn't mind just having the chassis sent without it and then buying one off ebay.

That's just me

Re: XLR Chassis Stock

Thanks for the update Kyle.

On the note about buffer tubes, you may also want to check JD Machine Tech, as I know they do some nice work and what seems (to me anyways, as "Joe Consumer") reasonable prices...

Sorry, had to put a plug in for one the "local guys" in my area.

Re: XLR Chassis Stock

Hey Guys, While our buffer tubes share the inside dimensions of a standard M4 buffer tube, the outside dimensions are made to our spec to handle the heavier recoil of the larger caliber weapons. Unfortunately, no other buffer tube will work.

Thanks, Kyle ~ XLR

Re: XLR Chassis Stock

For those of your that received your chassis for your Tikka...did it have a recoil lug?

I just got my chassis and am trying to install, but the xlr did not come with a recoil lug...are the bolts supposed to take all of the force?

Thanks!

Re: XLR Chassis Stock

Very nice, until I saw it was Duracoat. I like how it looks, but I'd want a more durable finish.

let your former supplier know we all think He's an ass munching fruit tree fart toad for screwing you over and holding Us all up,. I'm on wait from February 16th and counting,... that's about 16 weeks plus!?!?!

you'd think a guy supplying products to a CUSTOM SNIPER RIFLE manufacturer with a SHARP SHOOTERS CLIENT BASE would be a bit more receptive to their need's,...

JUST SAYIN?,.. I'd be nervous LOL!

Your chassis should have a 6mm recoil dowl included. If yours is not in with your action screws, just give me a shout and I will send one over.

Re: XLR Chassis Stock

Yes, the chassis will accept the AW magazines. However, Your action must also be cut to accept the AW magazines. I use the AW magazines no problem with my Defiance Rebel action but it has a magazine port cut for it.

I like that gray color, and the rest of the gun too. I hope you never need to color match for touch up though. I need to hold one before I spend the money. There is a green one for sale in Denver right now. hmmmmm
