Not very tactical, but it was a hoot to fit this one up.

    Enjoy,

    Lilja #5 1:14ROT barrel
    McMillan stock

Lots of work on our part. There's almost 200 photos so rather than lock up everyone's computer with downloads, I'll just post the link. The slide show runs in reverse order (least on my computer it does)

Enjoy and have a great weekend.

    It looks amazing Chad!
    Great job!

I see you ended up going with a floor plate instead of the magazine.

Chad I have a Winchester long action post 64 claw extractor and HS stock in 308 norma mag. What caliber would you suggest changing to for African plains game? I would like to have a custom gun done on this action.
    Thanks

Pretty sure the Magazine was a different project....

Rifle has a mercury tube in the fore end and the stock, am betting it is very manageable.

And yes this is a different Dakota action project than the DBM Dakota Chad was working on.

I built on on a Rem 1917 Enfield Action, makes any mule look like a wimp.

Puppy hurts in any position but standing. Lifts a Lead Slid with two bags of shot right off the bench.

I love the paint on the stock. I think the splatter pattern is my favorite for a hunting rifle. Very impressive work overall.

    Re: The African: 416 Rigby

Got the range report on the 416 today and sounded like the owners loves it, very manageable recoil and accuracy with several different loads never exceeded 3/4 moa @ 100 yards. He is headed to Africa with it end of June.

Thanks for the kind words germs.

I too received a very spirited phone call yesterday. The owner is quite the character.

Rifle sure seems to shoot well. Most Rigby's that I've been around have historically been a "minute of pie plate" or "minute of elephant skull" when it comes to accuracy.

a 3/4" extreme spread is pretty impressive to me. I've not seen that before. Hopefully its not a fluke and something we can continue doing with rifles like this. I sure like building them.

Owner also stated his 280AI that we did for him late last year is also running really well. Not fussy at all when it comes to bullets/powders. That's good! High maintenance guns just suck.

Gotta love Brux barrels! (We do anyway)
