Just something I whipped up in Photoshop.

Current size is 4in square @ 300dpi. Just resize it to the ID of your butler creek cap, print it on a label, trim to fit and write in your dope.

If you have MS Office, this is how I do it.

1. Open the picture (after you've saved it to your 'puter) with Microsoft Office Picture Manager.
2. Near the top of the screen should be a button titled "Edit Pictures...". Click that.
3. This opens a menu on the right of your screen. Click 'Resize'.
4. Here, you can either choose predefined wxh, or custom wxh, or percentage of wxh. You'll have to play with it and print it out until it fits your scope cap.

That's the easiest way for me. If you don't have MS Office, I'm not sure how you'd do it. Maybe someone else can chime in on that. Good luck!

Re: Flip up scope cap drop chart

Another way to do these is in PowerPoint or something similar. Then you can type all of dope in before you print. Just build a table that you like get it as small as possible then save as a picture. Then resize the picture to fit the cap. If you want it in a circle just slap it in one. Also size the circle before putting the table in it. It seems to work good on my printer that way.

Re: Flip up scope cap drop chart

I stumbled upon a way to get the dope chart picture the correct size. I added my info, just by using the "insert text" feature in MS Paint. Then I saved it to my desktop and inserted the picture into a blank MS Word document. The insert picture toolbar features a Height and Width adjustment box for the inserted picture.

Re: Flip up scope cap drop chart

Thanks great way to put dope in a handy spot, I will need a week to figure out the puter part but no worries, thanks again.

Re: Flip up scope cap drop chart

I have a template I created in excel that I can use for windage and elevation that I just print and cut into the circle for the caps. It works perfect and allows me to print drops and wind corrections for a much larger range and in much smaller distance increments.

I input my balistic info in JBM which is nice because then I have the drops and wind corrections for the exact elevation, temp, and wind options that I will be shooting in.

Re: Flip up scope cap drop chart

So what kind of media are y'all printing this on?

How are you making it stick to the cap?

I am thinking about printing some on shipping labels.

Trim off excess. Peel off backing. Stick on cap. Done.

Big problem would be if the chart got wet.

I guess that's what your laminated range card with verified dope is for.

Re: Flip up scope cap drop chart

Off subject but how about a spring loaded snap cap primer? really cheap plus you could put it in any casing you have lying around:)

Thanks for posting, I printed it and put in on a 270AI I'm using this year for speed goats!
