I went to the range today. I shot really well. I just wanted to post them. I was really excited about the results. I was shooting Black Hills and Southwest Ammo 175gr BTHP. The 3rd Pic was for sh** and giggles. I wasn't even going to do the 200yd , but glad I did (thats a 10rd group). Jered if you read this thank you very much.

rifle spec:
Savage action .308 Win
Bartlein 1-10" twist 5R (just re-barreled by APA) w/ Little Jimmy brake
Manners MCS-T1 w/ CDI DBM
NightForce 5.5-22x50
Badger rings and base

Re: New Groups!!

Whit,

There is something wrong with that gun. Ship it directly to me for inspection. Boy you weren'kidding when you said you were shooting good. Great job!!!

Regards, Paul.

Re: New Groups!!

Thanks for the complements. I am trying to get my wife to take a pic of my rifle (I am horrible at taking pics) so I can post a pic.

Re: New Groups!!

Everybody knows Savages suck, you have some nerve shooting those groups.

Re: New Groups!!

Everything is new except for the action, and it don't have the recoil lug or barrel nut anymore.

Re: New Groups!!

Nice shooting! I got excited last week when I shot a 1 MOA 10 shot group from 200 yards. Your achievement just inspires me to get back out there and practice, practice, practice!

Re: New Groups!!

Pretty sweet shooting! And after seeing your rifle at Rayner's, you can barely tell it's a Savage LOL. Pretty awesome looking rifle.

I second that.... you should probably ship it to me immediately haha.

That is a nice grouping rifle with either ammo, but just outstanding with the Southwest ammo.

Re: New Groups!!

I won't show you the worst groups. LOL

I shot some HSM ammo also(because I have some left over to use up or sell). It didn't do so well (kind off) compared to the BH or Southwest. It shot a little under 1/2"-alittle over 1/2" with one being almost 3/4. I can't remember the exact number. I used a ruler at the range for the HSM but I measured the above groups when I got home with calipers, since they were more impressive. All of the BH and Southwest were really good, even from the first set of groups to now( I have 232rds logged) 160rds were logged just last weekend at the practice shoot at Rayner's. I can't say enough for the great job Jered and the guys at APA did.

Thanks again for the compliments. These are the best groups I have ever shot.
