Phoney SEAL training SWAT teams?

If they missed this one, for as long as they did, it stands to reason there are other "credit awarding" classes just as scumeeeee. According the their website, they are still in business!!!! You're making the assumption that the state certified him based on a claim of Navy SEALdom. That doesn't happen.

In regard to the legal ramifications? Plenty of students from there have been involved in shootings and it hasn't been an issue. This is not "what I read on the internet", as others seem to be wont to repeat, but at least two officers have done so that I know personally, one that I went to high school with.

Johnson has testified as an expert witness with this SEAL nonsense never having been brought up by anyone as an attorney is normally bright enough to know that internet hearsay isn't really of concern in court.

If you look closely enough, you'll see that Johnson is still in business while his chief accusers aren't.

If a team member trained by this ass gets involved in a shooting (or any SWAT-related situation where something "goes awry") and gets caught up in civil/criminal suit...anything is possible. This could come up in a number of different ways, but most likely it would come up if there were allegations that whatever incident happened because the training received by the team member was inadequate/improper and therefore he/she was negligent, the dept was negligent for failing to provide adequate/appropriate training/education, etc. Its fair game for both civil and criminal trial evidence depending on the circumstances, etc., but any lawyer worth a damn will find out about the offier's training background and this Johnson guy's history and bring out that kind of evidence if it helps his/her case/client. I am making it a LOT more simple than it actually could be, but rest assured it could quickly become a BIG problem on many levels.

Nope. Not even close.

Re: Phoney SEAL training SWAT teams?

Since the "Stolen Valor" issue has been declared "Free Speech" by the courts there is nothing anybody can legally do to prosecute anybody for lying about service, wearing a uniform they never earned, and even wearing and displaying and claiming medals they have no entitlement to.
However, if somebody does claim service, or awards, and is paid based on that falsity, they can be prosecuted for fraud and convicted, fined, and forced to return all money collected based on the fraud and costs.
Incidentally, Jesse Ventura was never a SEAL, and never set foot or flipper in Vietnam. If he wanted to be a SEAl he could have said so any morning and been over there before lunch. He was a UDT, not a SEAL, and never got a Combat Action Ribbon.
It wasn't until the 80's that the name "UDT/SEAL" was given to all of them, but what team you were in actually mattered. The "UDT?SEALs" were still UDTs, and the SEALs were still SEALs. There is a big difference. Ventura was long gone before the designation changed.
Never a SEAL, only a Frogman. He knows the difference. Fucking fraud. That's why he always is evasive about his "Combat Service" and never specific about who he served with. Always tries that "It's classified" bullshit to avoid answering.

Re: Phoney SEAL training SWAT teams?

Arguing with a gossiping mud slinger is like arguing with a religious extremist, therefore I will not try to sway anyone here if they really believe all this about Mr. BJ Johnson. To each their own.

I do however want to throw some questions out to the group.

1. Has anyone who has posted any of these negative comments on this forum ever witnessed Mr. Johnson make any of these statements in person?
2. Has anyone here ever made an enemy and then had that enemy make false statements about them? – Have you ever noticed how people who stoop to this low usually aim at a man's character?
3. Has anyone here ever done their own homework? Has anyone ever used resources at their disposal to look in to his background?
4. Although we can all act like omniscient a** hats on the Internet without any risk to our selves, wouldn't you consider it note worthy that in a court of law, when the outcome will affect the rest of someones life, Mr. Johnson's testimony as an expert witness has never been successfully questioned? – Attorneys and prosecutors get paid well to do their homework, and for the most part they are ruthless in their attempts to discredit someone who's statements may hurt their case. I would wager a fair bet that no one on the Internet has spent as much time or resources looking for ways to legitimately discredit Mr. Johnson as the numerous lawyers have over the years.
5. I would like to point out, and thereby challenge you to do your own research, on the coincidence in timing between elections cycles in the counties of Southwest Missouri and the initial report(s) as well as the resurfacing of this issue over the years. Isn't it odd?
6. Even more note worthy in my opinion is that even after these allegations Mr. Johnson and other associated with him and his business have continued to work for/with the DoD, DoS, DHS and other state and federal agencies? These groups have access to the Internet, these groups have lawyers, they know about these 'issues', MOST IMPORTANTLY these groups are made up of people whose mindset is most likely the same as the members of this board. Do you think if any of this was true YOU would work with Mr. Johnson? If not then why do they continue? Could it be that they have found the Internet to be a less than accurate account of reality?

In closing I hope you will pause and think before jumping on the next bandwagon that passes by. Maybe if you are guilty of jumping on this one you will have the honor as a man to redact your post?

And please, if nothing I have said here hits home I hope that you will at lest pause and just think for just a second how bad it would suck to sit by and watch little boys masquerading as men on the Internet attempt to destroy not just what you have worked your whole life to build but also attack your friends and their livelihood.

Re: Phoney SEAL training SWAT teams?

I don't know the guy, and I don't know how MO Certifies their LE Instructors.

I do know that in Alaska where I have my LE Instructor Certification you have to first attend the FBI LE Officer Instructors course, after which you have to attend a course that is over 40 hours in length to teach that subject, plus teach every so often to keep your certification.

Now, as to police, there is few things lower then a crooked cop. Ethics determines if your crooked or honest.

Lying about one's service rates lower is un-ethicical and lower then whale shit. The same catagory as a crooked cop (worse in my mind).

I've run across a lot of so called Vietnam vets that were in middle school at the time the war ended. They are slime.

I didn't do much but I'm damn proud of my service. I'm proud of the fact I enlisted to participate in that war as un popular as it was, I'm proud of my years of National Guard Service after I got out of the Army.

I'm also proud of my LE Career. I wasn't the best cop by a long shot, but I was an honest cop.

Pieces of shit with un-earned claims discredit my service. May they rot in Draft Dodger Hell.

Re: Phoney SEAL training SWAT teams?

When I'm not sure as to the validity of the "SEAL" I may be talking to, I just ask him for his class number. Most of these dirt-bags don't know how the class numbers are supposed to be annotated.

Re: Phoney SEAL training SWAT teams?

No I am not Creekmur, I am a Soldier and citizen of Christan County Missouri for now that is enough about me.

Thank-you 'Mr300' and 'shankster' for being big enough to at lest make neutral comments, the rest still seem to be on the bandwagon.

I wish someone who has posted would just have the balls to say one of two things: 1.) I have heard Mr. Johnson say this or that, on or about this date and I think this or that about it... OR 2.) No I have never heard him say any such thing, I am sorry to have jumped to a conclusion and I hope this apology is accepted.

As to why I am posting to this thread: It is because this thread is linked to by a politician's website and I want to interject a little truth in to the storm of BS that is springing up. Hopefully people will engage a few brain cells and see through the rumor mill.

To clarify my stance: I am a soldier in the United States Army, currently serving... I have the up most respect for Mr. Johnson and have known him since I was a child. I have NO respect for those that lie about military service. I have never known Mr. Johnson to say any of these things. Locally the debate about his saying these things splits down political lines.

This is politically fueled mud slinging and nothing more. Good people all over the Internet have voiced there opinion of Mr. Johnson AS IF they knew these things to be true. Remove Mr. Johnsons name and insert the name of any Joe Dirt Bag that has been CONFIRMED to have done what his is ACCUSED and I would share most of your opinions. What makes me different is that I need proof before I jump on bandwagons..

As you see the domain expired and was bought by the opposition. For the record I'm not affiliated with any of the three men running for office, but I will be voting for Sheriff Kyle.

I don't understand why people are still asking for DD214's when the point is He never claimed To Be ANYTHING he isn't.

As for contacting the other sites, I'm working on that. However this community has responded more rapidly, due in part to the nature of a forum. I suspect, but can not prove at this time, that the original claims of Mr. Johnson making false statements of service originated from opponents of Mr. Matlock's campaign.

It can't be repeated enough, this is all just local political mud slinging that has hit the fan and landed in your forum. To some extent I apologise for the inconvenience, but the topic is worth revisiting to correct past errors.
