I sighted in my 5-25 US Optics with EREK yesterday it is on a .338 Lapua built on a Badger Action (20 MOA rail). I only ened up with 17 mils of elevation left. I watched the EREK video not sure what I did wrong?

Re: 5-25 US Optic with EREK

Did you use your center reek screw to adjust all your elevation when zeroing? And did you hold the allen wrench in place and turn the reek knob down all the way?

Re: 5-25 US Optic with EREK

I did use the allen screw to adjust, but I missed holding it and turning the EREK knob down to the bottom of travel. The EREK knob was close to zero when I started?

Re: 5-25 US Optic with EREK

When holding the Allen and turning the erek knob down you are holding the retical in place and giving yourself the maximum up travel possible for the knob. Your gonna have to do some serious searching on here but I know for a fact there's a thread some where in this section that deals with this. I had this exact same problem back in 09 when I first got mine in.

Re: 5-25 US Optic with EREK

That scope only has about 68-69 moa on the elevation. That sounds like you pretty much bottom out the erector.

Re: 5-25 US Optic with EREK

What size tube do you have? The 30mm tube only has 16 mils of elevation and im guessing the 35mm has 20 or more

Re: 5-25 US Optic with EREK

Ok, uso's website has the 35mm tube with 95 moa of travel. Some one here will have to convert that to mils. ( I'm an moa shooter. Sorry, don't know the math.) then, if it is still that far off, what you could try is to use the erector screw to dial up the retinal a little and then use the erek knob to dial it back down and see what if that helps.

Re: 5-25 US Optic with EREK

With a 35mm tube, you'll have about 67moa with a 35mm tube. They're working on a new body for the 5-25 t-pal that will have about 95-100 moa(has not been released yet). On my 5-25, I have 16 mils up from a 600yd zero and -2.5 so a total of 18.5 mils total.
