Just heard on the news that San Diego county is overrun with wild feral hogs and that they are looking for ways to eradicate them. Well I think I may be able help with a solution. Has anyone here ever shot any hogs in SoCal? I haven't killed anything with my rifle yet so this might be the perfect opportunity to do so.

Pig Problem in San Diego

Re: Southern California Hog hunting

Need to get a job with them to take care of the problems. I figure about 120k a year plus a Outragous retirement. We can get a pack of dogs, tell them they need to outfit us with Thermals, NV, and cans so we can take care of them at night without letting the other ones know we are for them.

Then I woke up and relized I'm in the state of California.

Actually its more likely the state will spend 500k tax dollars hiring "professional" hunters to eradicate them than let California hunters do it.

First we need to do a 1 billion dollar environmental impact study. Then if they need to remove the hogs they will need another 2 - 3 million for a group to find a good name for the program. Like when they were looking for a new name for food stamps and spent money to have people take polls before going with Cal fresh.

Maybe then they could setup a testing and processing plant to package bacon for WIC. I have seen worse ideas. Bacon prices are outrageous now.

Re: Southern California Hog hunting

All media hype. Yes there are pigs there, but not like the media makes it out to be. DFG is making a killing on pig tags with all this hype though hahaha. Go and hike the SD hills and tell us what you find. You are in for some serious hiking with almost no chance of a pig sighting.

Ok thanks everyone for OFFICIALLY making me hate California! I knew the state was pretty much bullshit, but DAMN! Fucking PETA.....

Quote from the Article:

"When it comes to controlling the spread of feral pigs in San Diego County, the public hunting effort isn’t doing the job"

That's because its 16 dollars per FU*%^KN Tag....want to exterminate the problem open season on these bitches!

Re: Southern California Hog hunting

oh yeah don't forget we'll pay around 3 million to relocate these pigs......
Its sad....

Re: Southern California Hog hunting

I live in San Diego. There are no hogs around here, unless you're looking to hook up with a fat chick.

Central California has lots of hogs running around Paso Robles, etc. Marty Rovenstein will take you out. Parkfield is loaded with hogs. Northern Cali has lots of hogs too. Wild boars too.

It's actually $21.34 per tag
