Here is the ultimate toy, fuck the tacticool .22's, this looks way more fun. A DeWalt AR nail gun. I also have a shitload of "ammo" already, four 18v batteries and a box of nails for a gun. Says it will drive a 16-D nail through a 2x4 at 200 yards. No chemical/thermal ignition, so no paperwork. I can't tell if it is semi auto, I would suspect it is, but it doesn't say in the description I got. My mom found this somewhere, the crazy shit they get into out there in the hinterlands of Nebraska. Anyway, enjoy!

I got an email from Prince Alamaba of Nigeria the other day and instead of saying that I was about to recieve a million dollars, he said I was going to get a container shipment of DeWalt AR nail guns. I'm glad to hear that there is a market for them, although he said that the ones I am getting shoot 20d nails through 4x4's at 400yds...so I am thinking you are talking about the 556 equivalent and I am getting the 762 equivalent. Cant wait!

Yeah, not sure how much they are. My mom sent me an email with this in it and said there was a guy selling them in Nebraska I think? I can check. I'd like to know a little bit more about it just out of curiosity myself.

I mean, come on, it is cool. Something that can shoot a nail that damn hard that far using a battery? It was obviously designed with fun in mind, an adult toy.

Any rocket-surgeon that thinks just because they can fit a battery into a magazine-well and it'll shoot nails probably thinks that if they can fit a tv remote in the same well, then it'll instantly turn into a projector.

I still haven't heard from my mom yet. She hasn't been doing too well, but when I get ahold of her I'll ask her more about where she got this from. But supposedly it is real...

Then again, it could be a hoax. I'd hate to spread that if it were, but I'll look into it. I just thought you guys would get a kick out of it. Hell, I must admit I'd get one of these before I got a Judge or Governor.

ETA; did you really think anything 18v powered would shoot a nail 200 yds and go through a 2X4? If so, one would think that at close(nailgun) ranges, it would blow right through whatever it is your working on.

Well, I've seen a .22 short blank blow the shit out of a concrete curb using a Ramset gun.

I know it isn't using magnetic coils or anything to propel the nails, but it is possible that it could use that battery to power a linear magnetic motor that would in effect work like a hammer. You could also stuff a rather long Gauss gun in it too, then you'd just need to stick the nail in the tip of the barrel. If it is real, that is my guess, as yeah, anything likely with enough power to blow a nail 200y is gonna bend the nail. Also, if it is real, I'm not so sure about it firing through a 2x4 from 200y for various reasons, with power being the least of them.

If it is fake, I'd be a bit surprised. My mom doesn't usually send stuff like that. But if I don't hear back from her on it, I'll assume it is fake. If this is my last post, then yeah, I'm on the fake bandwagon too and that means I never heard back from her.

I just emailed her and told her inquiring minds want to know. I bet you guys are right, it is fake, she pulled one over on me so I'd look stupid... Haha, laugh it up.

Could also be something a DeWalt shop had made to boost sales. That wouldn't surprise me either. I just found it interesting enough to put on here. Sorry if it pissed anyone off or anyone took it too serious.

Okay, she got back to me. Apparently it is a one off that a guy made in Nebraska. He had plans on producing it, saying it could be sold without any paperwork as it isn't classified as a firearm. But I guess it didn't work out, when she tried to go back to his website, it said "not found". Oh well. I bet he changed his mind either once he talked to the lawyer about liability, or figured he'd have a hard time making it actually work as advertised (because yeah, I agree with 'ya above, a nail through a 2x4 at 200y sounds fishy for many reasons).

So there it is, somewhere out there, a DeWalt nail gun looks like an M4. How well it works or how powerful it is or any of that, I have no idea. But it is real, it isn't a photoshop.

It's not a one off to shoot nails, come on man, use some common sense. It's a freaking AR that someone painted yellow and epoxied a battery to the bottom of the mag as a joke. I can't believe this thread didn't die moments after it started, apparently I have to use the delete thread option more often.

Here, I used 15 seconds of my life and google for you, click on the pictures in this article to make them larger. It's not a 200 yard shooting magic nail gun, just paint and some epoxy. And yes, it's the same gun, look at the table and background.

I've got some oceanfront property in Nebraska you might be interested in.

As you can see it is right on the beach in a beautiful area of the state, wonderful weather, great area, and a very nice property itself.
