If you go for the lapua make shore you got some range to cover because you will get board fast 1000 easy. Black hills 300gr for factor load shots nice

Finally got a rifle for the 5-15. Took it out on the weekend for the first time... love it. Awesome bang for buck. That eye relief is unreal.

Just got an email from Midway. My backorder has updated to processing, I assume it will ship today. 4/09/12 when I place the order, during the discounted price.

Midway also has them as ready to ship on the site.

Mine is on the way. I asked about picking another up and the cs rep said they received 92 units in.
They will fill te back orders and tomorrow they sould know if any are left over. My guess is not as he said their were quite a few on backorder and she kept trying to get me to put one on order and find out.

Edit: If I remember, I think Midway quoted a mid-Sept ship date when I ordered. Glad it's comming earlier, I have a new-to-me MK12 Mod1 that currently handycapped with a 1-4x scope. 15x should be a game changer if it's a good scope...

I noticed this also. Really sucks, I had planned on ordering one at $399 (with my discount), but at $499 I'm hesitant. I can get a Bushnell ET 6-24x50 FFP for a couple of hundred more at wholesale cost. Oh well, I'm sure they will run a sale on them every other month or so like everything else.

Wholesale cost on a Bushnell ET 6245 is probably around $550, I know it's lower than 600.

So they bumped up the dealer price simply because they could. Fair enough. Kinda pointless to have a dealer account then, if you pay the same price as everyone else and can't even use coupon codes.

I think the price has always been $499. They have had it on sale a couple times for $399, which is when I ordered mine along with a lot of the other guys here. Probably be on sale again sometime in the future again.

It is probably like the Midway/Weaver exclusive. On sale every other month. If not on sale this month, just wait 30 days.

I am looking at the ET6245FJ with the btr reticle, which I really like. Are they that low? Last time I checked the btr was around $625 or so. At 550 I would definitely prefer it to the viper in this thread, and I love vortex stuff (run the older viper 6.5-20x50 on a couple of rimfires and a 308 bolt). If they run the sale at 399 again, I will buy one, but not at 499. Is it me or has Midway raised their dealer pricing a lot of items (although they do take care of you if problems arise)?

The scope was only at the $399 sale price during the introduction of this particular scope. Their typical every other month sale really only revolves around the slow moving items. This scope however, is definitely NOT one of them.

I had to sell my scope shortly after I got it. I paid $399 for it during that sale. I have had my eyes on it ever since, because I plan on purchasing another. It has never been back to the $399 price yet. I am still waiting...

With the HUGE volume of sales that happined when this scope was sold. I Hightly doudt that it will be offered again at 399.99
Glad I picked a couple of them up. Mine shipped yesterday too. Ill have them the 1st so ill take a couple pics.

Perhaps I wasn't clear in my post.

The "regular" price has perhaps always been $499. However, many of us have "dealer" accounts since we have C&R FFL's with Midway and we are under a completely different pricing structure. So other than with the initial debut of the scope, this scope has always been $399 for us up until recently. So while you always saw the $499 price, it was always $399 for those with MidwayUSA "dealer" accounts. If you have a C&R FFL, you can get dealer pricing with Midway.

Just watch the for sale section for a flood of these next week lol. Mine is on the way too and perfect timing. I just sold my 6-24ffp PST because it was a little too much for my ar15 and then the email comes that this is on the way. Should fit nicely on my setup.

I'd guess the reason these haven't been on sale again is the fact they were backordered so much; given how the Weaver 3-10 works I'd suspect this scope gies on sale again in the next couple months.

z71's post sounded like he was a member of midwayusa's executive management or old Larry himself. Stating that the every other month sale was only on slow moving items. Based on the number of people on this forum that have stated they have the midwayusa/weaver exclusive and the number of weaver/midwayusa exclusive scopes that I see at the range, I doubt it is really a "slow seller". That was why I questioned if z71 new this for a fact or not.

I certainly agree with your opinion that the scope will most likely be on sale again based on the 3-10 power weavers past sales performance. And I believe we will see this Vortex scope on sale again as soon as supply and demand more closely equalize.

the bushnell pricing I receive is not from Midway. Their dealer pricing is not the same as my wholesale/dealer pricing elsewhere. I wouldn't pay $931 for the et6245fj I was looking at, but for my price (less than 650) it is a great deal. If I had to pay $900 plus, I would either just buy a nice used scope around $1k or pick up a pst.

At the sale price (or former dealer price), the vortex is a great deal.

Just checked on my shipping status and noticed the scope is now at a discounted price again.

Said $447.74 and I was able to add 60 in my cart.

Little better than $499 but not as good as the first dealer / introduction price of $399

Got mine in yesterday and mounted it up. We shall see how it does on my 7 mag. I'm not expecting any issues and my first impressions for this scope are good.
I have 2 other Vortex with the MRAD reticle so that would be the only thing to make this scope better but the mildot is alright.

I ordered one this morning for $447. Went to check my order status and clicked the link to the scopes page and they are now back up to $499. I'm glade I order it when I did. I guess they can't decide on a price.

I was going to order one at $499 and use the SH discount but I seen $447 and jumped on it

IF I look at the price on the page with other vortex scopes it sais dealer price of $447 but when I click on the scope it sais $499, the same when I add it to the cart. I guess they can't make up their mind. Also for the august flyer it's not a sale item.

I got mine yesterday and was too tired from work to even open the box. After owning a Razor and a Viper PST FFP I was cautiously optimistic about the glass quality of this scope. I dont have it mounted yet but just from looking out my back door and out to about 300 yards I am impressed with the clarity of the glass. I must say I am very pleased with the purchase and would do it again in a minute. The turrets have a very positive click to them so you can definitely tell how far you have gone, none of that mushy stuff that makes you second guess yourself. I cant wait to mount it up and try it out. Not having FFP or illumination may be a deal breaker for some but I dont plan on shooting UKD drills or in super low light with this scope so it fits my needs just right.

Does the power adjustment ring have feel notches to indicate the power setting like the PST does?
