I have and regularly get large quantities of military Speer 5.56 brass from a mil/LE shooting range. The problem is that the primer pockets are swaged. I have to manually deswage using a Dillon Super Swager one at a time. Very time consuming. Anyone know of someone that will do the case prepping for a nominal charge? I have set up a cement mixer with stainless media so the brass is absolutely clean. Any info is greatly appreciated.

They are not swaged they are crimped. You could buy a dillon swager.Once you get it set up and get the hang of it you will love it.You can do a bunch in an hour.Just make sure you get it set right or you will ruin the brass. When i set mine up i will do 5 and then see how well they prime.I have 2 1 for .223 and 1 for .308.Hope this helps

Thanks for the reply 1Sg, you are correct, they are crimped. I do have a Dillon Super Swage and then I have a special crimp remover on my RCBS case prep station. But again this is done one-at-a-time. Very time consuming. I get this brass 40 to 50 lbs at a time. I am looking for someone who sells prepped brass (I have bought ready to go brass for ~$80.00/thousand.) This is only 8 cents per piece and include the crimp removing. I will supply the tumbled brass and pay for the prepping. Thanks again.
