I've been looking for a shop maggot for awhile now and I'm pretty sure I found the right guy.

    CO239.23945417-2-pn.jpg

He'd been hit by a car and the jackoff owners kicked him out at an animal shelter drop off in the middle of the night somewhere in Colorado. He was scheduled to be exterminated until a Shepherd rescue shelter got a hold of him.

He goes in for surgery next week to get his femur/ass fixed from the accident.

So, Kalli and I are taking a quick road trip here in a couple weeks to go get his gimp ass. I've had Shepherds in the past and they are bar none the best dogs on earth as far as I'm concerned.

He's 16 months hold and has zero manners so I'm told. Mouthy and lots of drive. I figure a few zaps with the tazor and he'll behave.

Gotta love the fur covered razor blades!

Beautiful dog. Hope the surgery goes well and good on you for giving him a much better life.

I'm not a dog person, but these are clearly the sort of people who represent a complete and utter waste of our planetary oxygen supply.

Who does this kind of $hit!??

Chad I like to read your posts on the rifle builds but come on. Most of us would probably get kicked off of here for posting stuff in a section it shouldn't be in.

Re: The New Hire. . .

Good looking dog! Hope the surgery goes well. People that abuse dogs should be shot on sight.

Here's my shop bitch! She a little bigger now and still eating my wife's shoes.

great thing you are doing. People that mistreat animals have no place in this world AFA I am concerned.

    Good for you guys!

Re: The New Hire. . .

Wifey II, before I married her, had a dog that she found in a cardboard box, on the side of the NY Thruway. Most dogs are nicer than most people I know....

Way to cute to be a maggot!

Re: The New Hire. . .

i've got a dutch shepherd, absolutely awesome dogs. keep him excersising.

Re: The New Hire. . .

Germs thanks for the kind words. We feel pretty lucky to get this bugger.

"Chig" was the last GS I had at home. He was actually my bro's mutt, but we cared for him. He had issues and heard voices but was a great dog by and large.

Soon as we getem ill post some pics.

Re: The New Hire. . .

guess you can do whatever you want since you pay the Hide.

Hey Lowlight why dont you just rename this section? "LongRifles Hide"

Re: The New Hire. . .

^^^^^People like to banter with 'smiths and builders that they entrust thousands of dollars with. Chill out.^^^^^^

Re: The New Hire. . .

A very fine specimen you got there, congratulations.
Best of luck with the surgery.
And no manners well a mistreated dog will usually get like that as most probably know, just take it easy with him, and earn it's trust, then a bit of discipline can follow.
Always liked sheperds it's a very nice race.
Myself had a few dogs, took care of a mistreated and 'unstable' Dogo Canario for a long time, and well i would'nt want anything else now, but each to his own taste

Re: The New Hire. . .

Beautiful dog. Looks like a friend's import from Hungary.

My wife would only let me get a black GS.
    wink.gif
He gets lots of compliments for being such a handsome guy. They shed a lot, but they are great dogs.

Re: The New Hire. . .

I just got my land and I hope to build a dog rescue for this reason...I hate piece of shit people that mistreat animals and its they that should fear the needle not the innocent creature brought into their shitty environment by the shit heads. If you see a dog that mean, sick, starving, dead in the road, or abandoned dog it was never its fault...someone put it there

Take a chill pill mr Internet police.

Mr. Dixon contributes to this section with some of the best build threads on this or any other board. I'd say that buys him some leeway.

    Besides, dags are cool.

Good on you sir for fixing the pup up and giving it a home.

Re: The New Hire. . .

Dags aren't cool but anyway would any of you come to the gunsmithing section to post something about your dog, motorcycle or sprint cars? NO

Re: The New Hire. . .

not sure what you beef is, but if the subject isn't to your liking it would seem easier to skip over it, than to attack a rifle smith who contributes a lot to this site, and the site owner. Jeff...........

I know it must be hard but don't be such a dick. You are probably typing this from your mommy's basement with 10 cats running around as you stuff your face with Twinkie's.

Re: The New Hire. . .

rescue dogs are the best. my 8 yr old yorkie has issues in two legs from not healed right abuse from his first owner. he was a breeder dog at a puppy mill that got dumped when they got sick of abusing him.

He is happy, healthier, and doing well and i love him like a son. Feels great to save a life. best wishes, and hope your pup has a speedy recovery from the surgery!

He never gets off here or you never contribute? That is the real question here....
If you don't like certain posts, feel free to not open them and read. Starting shit for no reason is uncalled for and immature. If the mods don't like it, they will move it. Why waste the time with this argument?

I have contributed when necessary not unnecessary posts! I really don't care don't get on here much anymore just trying to make a point. why have different sections if they are going to be ignored???? If it was not a big time gun builder would you feel the same?

Re: The New Hire. . .

He is a real good looking dog. It is a very good thing you are doing!

I like dogs better than most people. They are way more loyal than probably 99% of the people that you will ever meet, and really don't want much more than to be loved and respected and to return the favor to their people.

Re: The New Hire. . .

    Chad Dixon,

Thanks for your post here about the 'new hire', as well as your contributions towards us. They are very appreciated by MANY.

But, as it is in real life, (and the liberal society) there are always a few individual snapperheads whom have to screw up everything (including the Lord's Prayer) with their own agenda and "minority interest". You'd think that these dickhead lobbyists would realize that it is their own sabotaging actions that has ruined so much of society today.

But alas, they themselves are too stupid to realize what they are doing. So please, don't be dissuaded or discouraged. Continue to share that which you will. We will continue to learn and appreciate the information to the extent of our own interests. The very same goes towards each and every ACTUAL CONTRIBUTOR on this site.

As for others, well,, piss on 'em.

    Sean.

Re: The New Hire. . .

Great looking dog and I feel the same about GSD's. I've had a few myself. I'm awaiting the call from the New Skete Monks to let me know I can make the trip to New York and pick up my new pup.

Good on you Chad (and Kalli).

Doesn't matter who he is... He has never done any work for me. But if the mods let it go, so be it. Moving along now.....

Good looking pup. Take care of him!

Everyone start to play nice or the ban hammer will swing. You don't like the thread, simply stay out of it, it's really that easy.

Re: The New Hire. . .

I felt that I was being nice about it but still got called a dick and whatnot. didn't mean for it to be a bitch session but everyone has to throw in there comments. you can't have a friendly dispute on here and never have been able too. my original comment was for Chad but he never responded so guess we will never know what his thoughts on it are. if you feel I am being a dick then do what you gotta do. just figured I'd have a little fun after the name calling started.

    have a good one
