Hello all,

Been a member for a while but I really don’t post as I just read and use the search function to answer most of my questions. Based on various threads here I decided to have Mark Gordon build me a 6.5 CM. I finally got to pick it up today so I decided to post some pictures.

I have been on the fence for glass with either the S&B MSR or Steiner MSR. Decide today to go with the Steiner as I just found they are 10% off which adds up to some good savings.

Enjoy the pictures. Only took three times to figure out how to post full size pics. LOL

Specs;

SAC Alpha 11 action with 20 MOA base with fluted bolt
Lower Bolt Clearance Modification
Bartlein Med Palma 1-8" twist finished at 27", Fluted
Huber Concept trigger
Ashbury Mod O stock
Atlas Bi-Pod
Seekins 34mm Rings
Scope: Steiner 5x-25x MSR (waiting for this)

Now I need to find a place to get it sighted in before the NHRPC match next month.

Greg

Man, that is a sweet looking setup. That chassis looks comfortable; any idea what the whole setup weighs?

That's because the Mod 0 is $1,650 give or take. They're nice, but they aren't THAT nice in my opinion...but your mileage may very well vary. If that's what you really want, and you have the money then by all means, they are great chassis's.

That's not too bad, I was thinking closer to 16 but it's still a pretty good chuck of steel.

Congrats again on your first build, she is a beauty!

Definitely a sexy rifle there! My barreled action was shipped Friday and my AICS is sitting on my couch now.

Greg,

Awesome stick. And, a great job on the pics. Obviously not your first photos.

Re: My First Build (6.5CM)

Funny thing but Ashbury Arms is less than three miles from my house. I just wished I could afford their toys. Very nice rifle I am jealous.
