Re: Interestig facts about McDonald's

The only thing wrong with McDonalds is they don't have one in my town.

I have to drive to Gillette (80 miles) or Rapid City (78 miles).

Re: Interestig facts about McDonald's

Best thing I can say about McDonald's, (or any of the fast food joints for that matter), is they keep lower middle class working people like myself from having to crawl in a dumpster lookinf for affordable food on the road.

Re: Interestig facts about McDonald's

My fav is a Sausage Egg and Cheese Biscuit for breakfast. Mmmmmmm Mmmmm

Re: Interestig facts about McDonald's

I find McDonald's pretty damn good and equally important, it's consistent. No surprises from one store to another.

Re: Interestig facts about McDonald's

As a child, I remember liking the Shamrock shake in March, but I haven't eaten at a McDonalds in at least 10 years. I really don't consider it "food"... Kinda how Velveeta isn't "cheese", but rather, "processed cheese-food".

Why does the McRib have the look of rib-bones molded in?

You need to come to this town, it's a prerequisite in this city to fuck up any fast food, or you don't get the franchise!
Burger King's the worst.

Re: Interestig facts about McDonald's

I guess they are going to be a success. When I first went into the US Navy in 1962 I had never heard of McD's. Outside the North Gate of Great Lakes Naval Station about 4 blocks away was the first I had ever seen. The sign over the store read, "Over 50 million sold". I thought that was a lot.

Re: Interestig facts about McDonald's

That fake food sure is addicting! I've been on a caramel frappe kick here lately. Drove twenty miles, one way, to get one a few nights ago..... They started serving hotcakes 24 hours a day at the one I go to the most!

Re: Interestig facts about McDonald's

100 miles to aberdeen sd and 100 to bismark nd so i must live in that barren plain

Re: Interestig facts about McDonald's

I got an e-mail five years ago that McDonalds stopped buying US beef and started buying from Argentina as well as some other countries since they don't have an FDA. They WERE the largest consumer of US beef. I didn't verify the information in the e-mail since it was enough for me to swear off McDonalds forever, having plenty of friends that are beef producers.

Then two years ago I got an e-mail showing how McDonald's contributes to anti-gun groups.

If these are only rumors, they are good enough for me and my family to not support them. They, of course, havn't felt it, but I havn't missed a damn thing about McDonald's "food".

Re: Interestig facts about McDonald's

Mcdonalds also cures 1.2 million hangovers every morning by means of mcmuffin

Mcdonalds is responsible for 2% of the nations afternoon office gas

Macdonalds increased sales of quilted northern and charmen by 4 and a half percent

Macdonalds prolonges virginity of 2 million teenagers every year

None of these are facts... That is all

So if I said Sniper's Hide contributes to anti-gun groups and Lowlight only eats Mexican beef because he believes American beef stunted his growth, you'd leave Sniper's Hide, no evidence at all?

You should try Taco Bell. I’m a firm believer that a man could lose weight by eating Taco Bell. Eat 1.5 lbs of Taco Bell and within 2 hrs you will crap at least 4 lbs. Do that for a week…

Nope. That's different and would be worth investigating. I know well how the rumor mill works, I work for a fire department and firemen are very good at spreading rumors. The McDonalds rumors were just a good enough reason to quit them for good.

Re: Interestig facts about McDonald's

Given the alternatives, I don't feel especially abused when dining at Mickey Dee's.

Even in my currently dissipated physical state, I'm not blaming a Mc-Whatever for my ills.

After a lifetime dose of Agent Orange, I'm gonna worry about McD's"?

Riiiiight...!

It's really just a question of proportions. Whatever's gonna kill me has already been inside me for decades, compliments of Uncle Sugar.

Y'all can do our own worryin'; I'm all worried out.

I like the food, and I'm actually a kinda picky eater.

I'm not gonna get to 'go around' twice, I'm gonna enjoy what I enjoy NOW!

I'm gonna have to die sometime anyway, whichever way. After 66 years; and looking at the foreseeable future, sooner's probably just as good as later. I'm gonna leave it to the Fates to decide; nobody needs to figure that one out on their own, honest.

I've spent a lot of my lifetime and some considerable extra ching standing up for the American worker. Looking around, my only subsequent comment is, "Lotta good THAT did, eh...?

Re: Interestig facts about McDonald's

Greg, you remind of Grandpa Gustafson from "Grumpy Old Men" (or it's sequel, can't remember). When his son is talking to him about not smoking and drinking, "I'm 94 years old, what the hell do I have to worry about!?"
