No Minimum wage does not cause higher costs, atleast not retaliative to anything. Its a second order effect from inflation.
What makes things cost more is inflation. Inflation caused by the Fed Printing money Via Quantitative Easing and other methods, skyrocketing the money supply. Couple this with historically low interest rates and money has been essentially free for the last 10 years or so, making business and investing opportunities even with a low ROI, attractive. Now that that has ended, the cost of financing has increased and companies are struggling based on old models.
If you work 80 hours a week you should be making 6 figures EASILY. Most journeyman tradesmen making around $45-55/hr. ($45/hr +40) + (67.5* 40) = $216K per year. Its not hard to find a job making $80-90K a year starting out with a decent degree.
If you are working 80 hours a week and you don't make at least $100K, then you are a moron and work unskilled labor. You have zero reason to bitch about some poor person making $15/hr when your labor is not worth much more. Even if you only make $25 hour base that comes out out to $120K a year.
So again, its people bitching about their own insecurities and inadequacies because they think they are better than the minimum wage crowd, when the market says they aren't really that much different.
When you retire are you going to take social security? What about Medicare? Unless you are in the top 1%, you don't even really pay income taxes. Just another parasite right?

On the surface thats what it looks like but realistically, they do not pay any taxes. What little is witheld is more than refunded, to the tune they get more money back than they paid in. Now the flip side is the employeer portion of taxes, which does increase. So it increases tax revenue, but not the way most think. I would even assunme that the workers get more back in money than the increase in revenue from employer portion; but that is impossible to know.

These are Isa Browns, solid egg layers too. I had 5 in the beginning and was getting 35 eggs a week. Far more than my small family could use, so they become great trade fodder. People love baking with backyard eggs. It was a good run, we are down to 3 and they are old, but I still get at least a dozen eggs a week if not more.

Gas was 1.20$ a gallon when I was in high school and the fast food joints were paying 8$ an hour. Today gas is 3.80$ at that same gas station so you'd have to be making about 32$ an hour to keep that same ratio.
The way we are going gasoline will be 38$ a gallon and McD's will be a luxury item.
