Well, let me start out by saying that Dave and Becky at USO saved my sanity!!! I have been searching for a specific ST-10 for some time now because I recently found out they would be discontinuing the model dear to my heart...That would be the ST-10 with ERGO/EREK/MIL/MIL/MIL GAP/ILLUM...Please excuse my ignorance, had I known this was to be discontinued, I would have purchased a couple last year instead of last minute. Needless to say, these are currently hard to come by and spent countless hours scouring the almighty interweb for my crown jewel to top my custom Rem 700.

So, I pm'd a couple fellow Hiders a few days ago (special thanks to them as well- you know who you are), including Dave, but to no avail. Just yesterday I get a voicemail from Dave saying he searched the facility and found one! Up to this point all I could think of was FML...But, he had me get in contact with Becky, who was kind enough to play phone tag with me, and WHAM-BAM today I am the proud new owner of the ST-10 that nearly slipped my grasp!

There is truly something to say about amazing customer service like this...and US Optics has gained another life long customer. Again, thank you so much to Dave, Becky, and the USO staff for giving me the best birthday present I could ever buy myself!!!

Re: Thank you to the US Optics staff!!!

I had a similar experience with US Optics terrific customer service. Becky also helped me obtain at no cost the elevation turret cover for an ST 10 scope elevation turret. I had asked for info on the turret she sent me a PDF on the turret and then called me to see if it helped. I told her I was not the original owner and the elevation turret cover was blank not like the one in the PDF which had yardage makers on it and a hole in the center to adjust the zero stop. She then told me she would send me the correct cover free of charge.
Now that's what I call customer service. Milli graci as they say in Italian to Becky and US Optics.

ST-10 came yesterday...and it is BEAUTIFUL!!! I couldn't be more happy, or more thankful to all my fellow Hiders and US Optics staff who helped me find one...Seriously, thank you to all of you!

Next week, I send it off for Mr. Todd Jackson to work his magic on...Woo Hoo!!!

Re: Thank you to the US Optics staff!!!

I can relate:
Many years ago, a friend and I were meandering about a gun show, and heard what sounded like a gunshot- it drew the eyes of all within 30m radius. As the people went back to business you could see the crowd around the USO table: JBWII was performing one of his legendary product toughness tests, slamming an SN3 on the table! I told my friend we have to get over there before we go. When we get there, there is John, more than willing to show it again-SLAM!"Now look through that-[we did, no defects]. Tell me another scope mfg that will do that?" We had no answer, there are none then or now. After his obligatory lessons about machining, glass, reticles, et al, he had us sold, albeit a major purchase down the road. As a mechanic all those things interested me; I asked if it was possible to get a tour of the mfg facility; he said yes.
Fast fwd many months, I call ahead, show up to check out some really cool stuff(insert geek comment here). JBWIII shows me around- lathes, clean room, everything, I had to sign a confidentiality agreement! What I did not know, but was about to learn was how great a salesman JBWII was. Hindsight tells me he had to not only break into, but excel and provide for his family, in an industry that was not inviting to say the least; maybe it was born talent, learned, whatever, but he was cunning!
So I thank him and get ready to leave, having been impressed beyond expectations, and he asks so what are you looking for? I told him I don't have the money, not sure of reticle choice yet, etc. He says look at this one, a customer changed his mind, I could let you have it for... back and forth we went, he gave me a hat, kept me there... I found out I was not leaving that office without a scope! So i finally pay it off, arrange for pick-up, and JBWIII asks "what are you putting it on?" Why don't you bring it down w/you, etc. He mounted it for me, it needed some maching to mount to that rifle. Guess how much they charged? Just a thank-you. I tell everybody, you want the best, buy USO. American made, great family business, impeccable customer service. You can get cheaper, or good enough but not better.

Re: Thank you to the US Optics staff!!!

That is probably one of the best USO customer service stories I've ever heard! Scratch that...THAT is the best customer service period!!! You really can't beat it...they are really down-to-earth and truly appreciate their customers. I tell all my friends my story, albeit not as amazing as yours, but important to me just the same. Especially when we work hard for our money, save up, and finally get to purchase what we have been drooling over...A+ customer service like that is just icing on the cake. I rarely ever write up reviews, but if someone is going to go out of their way to help me then the least I can do is pass along my experience. Hopefully it will bring others to their business and so they can enjoy the same experience I had.

Lets face it...companies are only as good as their customers make them out to be...and USO is top notch in my book for a good reason!

Re: Thank you to the US Optics staff!!!

Great story. Thanks for sharing. Makes me want to do business with them in the future. I've also had great experiences with Kelby Rifles, Eurooptics and Optics Planet. When you buy a premium scope, you should be treated well. It's all about the attitudes of people at the company. I also try very hard to buy American when ever possible.

The saga continues. Not only did Becky send me the graduated top cover for my elevation turret but also another blank one, the 2 O rings for the cover, the 3 allen wrenches needed to adjust the elevation and windage knobs and a USO decal sheet with the notation on the back "Thanks the US Optics Team". Thanks once more to Becky and the US Optics Team!!!
