I got my 223ai back from SSC...and he did it up in sniper grey, and it looks friggin awesome. I'm currently stocked with a Bobby Hart LRT, with accublock, but am thinking of switching it out since I've changed every other part on the gun. Top of my list is another AICS...but, i'm also leaning towards a Manners. I was originally planning on getting Shehane to do one of his ST/BR stocks for the gun....but think I'm going to save that for my 6Beggs rifle. So.....the AICS is looking like $900ish otd...and that requires no bedding...just bolt it up and done. The Manners, while cheaper to initially purchase....I'll also have to purchase a bottom metal and also have it bedded...so it'd come out about the same as with the AICS I believe...

I'm also kind of lost on what color to do......any suggestions/opinions?

What color is your Bobby Hart LRT? I really like lams and was considering getting one of those, I should be getting my build from Russel in a couple weeks.
How does it drop in? Do you have it set up for the stock drop plate right now, or some sort of bottom metal?

Just get a manners with the mini chassis so you do not have to bed and it already has the bottom metal built in. I had a T4A and now I have a T2A. You can't go wrong with a Manners stock Tom and crew are top notch. They also have some nice stocks that have have recently brought out.

the issue with the manners is the $1000+ price tag...if I was paying that much....i'd really like to have this:

my hart is orange/grey...but has been painted a few times. if you watch Hickok45...it's the suppressed 223 rifle he shot a few weeks back. That was before going back to SSC, again, now it's a 223ai and is Sniper Grey...he does GREAT work, btw.

currently the stock is "global blue" with silver webbing and a poor clear coat. I was just messing around and didn't take my time on it...but will go back and sand it down and buff it till I can figure out what stock I want. But, it dropped in, other than a little inletting for the larger recoil lug....had to file down the bottom of the lug and widden the factory inlet to get it to fit..but no biggie.

thanks...i need to go back and strip it and redo it...but Walmart stopped carrying Global blue...and i have half a can left. Might try to find some actual spray on stuff since i'm putting together a cerakote curing oven tonight...wanna get my hands dirtying trying to learn it.

but, i also sent an e-mail to Bill Shehane...I might run down there this weekend and see what he can offer me in the realm of a custom McMillian
