Berger released 338 load data

Man, those seem really light! Do those bullets take up a lot of case capacity or something?

Hmm! Seems they actually bumped up their loads from the data that was emailed to me close to a year ago... For instance, H1000 went from 84.3 to 85.2 for max. Still low, but better...

Shaky, concur, definitely light loads.

Maybe they don't want to risk the jackets coming apart?

Pretty sure they fixed that a couple years ago. I have been sending them at 2800 FPS using 93 gr. of Retumbo. No issues, except the crappy chamber in my savage sticks cases if it's hot outside.

I am working up a load for my Timberwolf starting with 85 of retumbo and loading up to 88,using the 300 bergers, what bullett weight are you using with 93 gr.

Light. Hodgon says 94g of Retumbo w/300 vs 89 from Berger. I run 93.5g w/300g Bergers at 2780fps.

Shaky, what's your COAL and how far out are you seating them off if you don't mind my asking?

Loads definitely look to be on the light side...but thanks for posting!

Yep. very light loads. I was getting 2800 running 300 grain Scenars with 93.7 grains of Retumbo. Going to go shoot 300 grain Bergers tomorrow with Retumbo and see where the sweet spot is. I figure its in the 93s but I shall see.
