Just thought I'd share some pic's of my oven, maybe some of you can get some ideas from it.

Started out with a cheap eBay 10 gun safe, some high temp insulation and glue, a temp probe and a trip to the local dump netted a working fan forced oven.

screwed it all together and she works like a champ, and has been for almost 12mths now.
The only drama I've had was the fan motor packing up but they're apparently a pretty common part so got a new one easy

Man that's awesome. I've been looking at producing something similar, but just haven't gotten around to doing it and haven't convinced myself I won't burn my shop down! From my research on cerakote, it was showing 250 degrees being about the top end of the needed amount of heat. Do you have an idea of approximately what your total cost was?
Thanks

That's awesome. What's the front panel look like? Can you snap a picture?

[h=2]Cerakote oven Tagged, This is a great looking oven. Thank you for sharing.[/h]

That is an impressive oven, and will serve for years to come.
I can't see putting that much work into an oven in my case, because I will be doing only one or two guns.
My thought is a cardboard box, some light bulbs, a thermometer read from outside, and an on/off switch. I think that I can pay attention to the temperature and switch the power on and off for a couple of hours.
I've got my sandblaster set up and will be doing one soon.
Again, good job.

Thats a nice oven. I tried to make one out of an old restraint hot box for powder coating. It did not work will could not keep the temp up. We tried using sheet rock for the insulation. Mine did not use a convection oven fan thats a good idea.

Regarding curing ovens, the PID controllers work fantastic for anyone serious about doing these things. Minor investment, major payback.

Where is the best place to get the high temp insulation?

Use something called, "rock wool". Its meant for high temp application, fireplace contact, etc... you can buy at a professional building supply store, I don't mean Lowes

Sadly I am too lazy to build something cool like that. I use this.

Amazon.com: Cajun Injector Electric Smoker: Sports & Outdoors

Complete control of temp with automatic timer. Can fit a crap load of parts hanging from the rack. 24" barrels are no problem but anything longer won't fit. I did pop off the circular vent in top and hang longer barrels with the end sticking out and put a steel ammo can over it. The heat rises and it's actually hot enough. I think they call that jury riggin. ;)

OP very nice work. I would much rather have yours!!!!!
