I know this has been brought up before when the site upgraded but I just went from about 500 posts to zero, I'm now back up to 3 with this post!

Anyone else???

How do you find it?
Never mind I found the site info. Looks like I lost about 120. Not as much as a lot of guys but enough to stop selling stuff.

Yes i lost all of mine over 200 and can no longer put items up for sale. E-mailed Lowlight but don't know if he can correct the problem.

I too lost everything, but that's ok. Grayghost, if you read the thread in "Site Information" you will see that Frank does not do anything about it and your email/pm will be deleted.

Hope that helps.

There were just too many chiefs and not enough Indians.

In times of cutbacks we all need to make sacrifices and pull together to get through these demotions.

That's nothing LL only has 85 posts now!

So he can't even post his stuff for sale in the Post Exchange!!! I predict heads are going to roll.

Lowlight has said, several times in several different places, that he won't do anything about it. He would have to go through and adjust everybody's post count individually and it would take way too long. If you had a ton of posts before, it shouldn't be hard to get back to 100 so you can sell again.

I understand the complaints but this subject has been beaten to death and it gets old seeing it reappear as often as it does.

Yup, I went from 2800 yesterday to 240 today. Oh well, the number of posts I have doesn't reflect how I shoot... thank god.

Exact opposite here, my shooting skills improved every time I hit post reply, I'm afraid to go to the range now.

Thanks I did not realize this was a recurring problem just noticed that I had lost all posts.

It would be interesting to know what the problem is and/or how it can be fixed.

They were having database error issues. They changed over to a new server cluster last night. Inevitably some of the information was lost, or deemed unnecessary to keep.

I lost a couple hundred posts in the move, but it doesn't really matter. Posts are posts. Keep on truckin'

I lost all my posts and the feedback that I'd gotten through sales. Yes, I'm whining a little... Frank does us all a huge solid by hosting this site and let's remember... it's free. So no worries on my end, I'm sure the reason for it will be found and hopefully it won't happen again. Improvise, adapt, overcome.

Edit: After I posted the above I went looking at my profile page. If you go to Groups near the bottom on the left side, and you had enough posts before, You should be able to change your 'group' status to full member. Seems to have worked for me anyway. Maybe give that a try.

I lost all my posts, no Frank doesn't care so don't bother. This is the second time it happened too; first time I lost rank, this time I lost 'em all. But my post records are still there, go look in your profile, and I just posted a rail system for sale. So it appears the only thing damaged is just the counter itself. Unless they rescinded the 100 post rule.

As long as it doesn't interfere with how the site operates, it isn't much of a concern to me. It would be nice if shit would quit changing though.

You mean I have to post another 100 worthless posts to get to 100...lol
Seriously, too many need external "atta-boys" on this site. If your all butt hurt 'cause you lost your "street-cred" or need post count "props" there indeed are greater problems at hand......

I just had to post to see how many post I have after the latest round of zeroes!

I don't think I lost any but honestly don't remember how many I had but still sitting at over 1000. Sucks for several of the longtime members that had a bunch of posts.

suck it up. I lost over 2k posts, no big deal. over time with posts with meat to it, it will get back. in the mean time, enjoy the new site. I'm still getting used to this whole era with all these "likes" and what not.

All I have to say is I can't stop looking at that fucking goat. That thing has me mesmerized......... Wait..... What????

Over the course of the transition I've lost about 700 posts, but they're all still in my history and appear in searches so I can refer back to them and that's all I care about.

I don't believe that's a goat, I'm pretty sure that's the Dalai Lama. Wait, no... Shit.

No, you can STILL post stuff for sale! Go try it! I just put up a KAC handguard in accessories. See, it killed your post count to the left, but it kept all your actual posts. You can still go scroll through your older posts in profile, still there. So I bet the post counter is separate from the rest of the system. Otherwise, it shouldn't have let me post.

don't know lets see. I'm not sure how many i had. But who cares. I think it may have been a llama that ate them all.

Gunga galunga?

I have been effected by this also. At first I thought it was result of patriotic posts in the 2A but I see Slapchop joined the party so I must be wrong on this one.

They got you too, you had about 8k - 10k posts.

Actually, I was back up to close to 4K, that 4 post (5 with this) jazz just showed up. Seriously, WTF is goin' on with this dB?!

They should do an honor system this one time and let folks fix it back to where they thought it was. That way they wouldn't have to do it themselves.

But on the other hand, like I said, it kept all my postings and I was still able to post in the for sale section. It just doesn't show on the post counter how many I had. But having the correct number of postings shown would be nice because it shows you've been around a bit and probably won't screw anyone over.

HB, is that posts or a loss on your IRA?
If you want to have a whack at the PD town down here you better hurry.
They are going to try and poison it. Regards, FM
I know they don't have enough bait for it all so there will be plenty shooting

I'd like to see that, with a twist: freeze the now shown number, and have 72 hour "fix it your self, let your honor be your guide, your word is your soul brother" type fixing period. Then compare the numbers! My guess is, the numbers would be, well kinda like the 40 pound bass- to the best of your memory- that you caught 10 years ago, 5 years ago it was 20 lbs, and the year your caught it 6lbs. As our loved politicos like to say, "to the best of my recollection". It wouldn't be a lie, just a difference in memory.

Since this is my first post I have to ask which is the best caliber for long range sniping? I currently have a SKS that I got two days after Sandy Hook, it was only $5349.98 so I feel I did pretty good on it. I plan on buying a tapco scope rail cover thingy for the top to mount my counter sniper scope, which as I understand it is the best but most don't know that because they can't afford one. I also have one of those front grips with the bipod that comes out when you push the button. On scale from 1 to 10 how much better than an Atlas is my front grip/bipod? I paid $249.99 is that a good price? My brother-in-laws cousins sisters mothers great uncle said I should be able to shoot a 3 inch group at 1400 meters as this is what the chinese expect from the rifles. I think he may be exaggerating, I think it will only shoot 3 click groups at 1400m. For right now I'm starting at 682 yards as I feel it's a good round number. How many clicks will I need to get to 682y with wolf spam can ammo? Should I expect sub-IOC (Inches of Click) groups at 682 or should I push it further out? I want to get the most from my gun. How fast do my bullets fly? I ask because I plan on shooting deer at 1837 clicks and need to calculate the fly time to help lead the deer into the bullet path. Also, I've been reading a lot about silencers and the one that really caught my eye was the one that you thread an oil can on to. I'm starting a trust for my oil can can and was hoping someone could do it for me?

Thanks in advance for your input and I look forward to contributing after I learn everything there is to know, which should be by next weekend.

The answer is yes... ;)
