Looking to get another can. Mainly to run on 11.5 sbr in 556. Prob will be ran on 300 blk out in future so must be 30 cal. Would like it as short as possible but still effective. I have a friend that has the ac 762 sdn 6 and loves it for this purpose. Gun will be run fairly hard from time to time so must be able to handle somewat rapid fire rates

Am i missing some other good options?

I beat the crap out of my mini4, but that's 556 only. I run it on my shrike and a bunch of other fa stuff. Favorite can for the application on an sbr. I like my sdn6 but only for 762 and 300bo. Only other can that I would recommend for a 556 sbr is the Kac qdss. I have tried to melt that can on numerous occasions and it hasn't stopped running yet. But the mini4 is about as quiet as the qdss believe it or not. You could also go with a mini7, but I've only test fired them and do not own one. I've burnt up a surefire shorty, but that was for r&d. Both the sure fire and the mini4 get super hot and discolor. My qdss still has the paint on it, built like a tank. Hope this helps. Bottom line is I really think you should consider buying the can for the sbr application and then buy another for the 762 application. But cash is king.

I can't post the link from my phone, but there is a topic in this section on the new 7"&5" 30 cal can from Thunder Beast. I am sure you will get argument that they would be a good consideration for what you are looking for.

What surefire can did you burn up? How much did it take, and what happened? R&d for them, or something else? I'm so curious because I have a 212 on my sbr and run it on my 16 inch gun sometimes. Might go on my .22-250 a little too if it can take it.
