Chassis Insight (MDT Tac-21)

Anyone know how this Tac21 holds up out to 1000 yards? followup shots? repetition? any problems with it? i saw the post from Kells81 on it but it was definitive for long range application. Any insight?

FYI it'd be fitted to a rem 700 sendero 2 barreled action chambered in 7mm RM vortex optics

It works well at 1000 yards. I was hoping you would get some feedback from others on this before I posted an answer.
We have many using it at long range. With the straight line design the recoil comes straight back, and therefore follow up shots are quick.

Why would the chassis dictate the 1000 yard performance, it's just a vessel for the rifle ? If the rifle is good, the chassis works as expected.

The classes I teach here in CO have a Rem 700 LTR as a demo rifle which is used every single class and it's a predictable, consistent, a first class shooter for people. It goes beyond 1000 yards without issue. (granted we are at 5000ft here) We shot it this past weekend again and I always admire it's accuracy. It's my classroom rifle and the one most loaned out.

The TAC 21 is an excellent little chassis. The only negative is the recoil lug area. ( I am not sure if they addressed this) if you have a heavy aftermarket lug it will not drop in. At least in the older version. I know there have been some improvements, just not sure on the recoil lug area.

The TAC21 chassis will accommodate a recoil lug up to ½ inch thick, which would be over kill. We do make a 5/16 remington pattern recoil lug for this reason.
