SW AMMO UPDATE THREAD

For the reload service, we are on hold until we get caught up. The second shift we are adding next week will help. I do not have a firm date, but we might do something different instead of the reload service, like a brass exchange program or something or, we might just stick to the reloading service, but only reload our brass and Lapua.

I got the email this morning and was all excited that one of my orders would be shipping...but nope, just an "update" on why it wasn't.
 
I think this is a good idea, even better idea if you throw win brass into the mix, I use Lapua in my bolt guns and Win in the gas guns. Do you plan on doing 300 WM in any brass?

Order #5849 arrived today; 300 rds of 260Rem with the 136gr Scenar ordered this morning. Still waiting on 500 rds of 220gr 300BLK and 600 rds of 308 new head stamp 175gr SMK. At least the ammo I like shooting the most is coming quickly!
 
Shipping notice for the 110g VMAX for 300 BLK. Still waiting on my earliest order of 220SMK 300 BKL and 175g 308.
 
hello i had placed an order first week of march 2013 for the preorder. in may i recieved a call asking for my credit card info something about computer problem and was charged the remainder along with the shipping cost. i was told that several had cancelled and that more was available so that to me sounded that i would be getting my ammo soon. why charge me if it isn't ready to ship? i was given order # 5759 but i remember my initial order # in march was different. could you please explain. thank you for your time.
 
Can you check on order number 4902 placed on March 12. I was told this would ship weeks ago. No response to email.

These are shipping as of now, the reason for the calls is to collect for the other half. It is not an easy task collecting the other half. if we go over 30 days, we have to start the collection process again. I made a judgment call and just took it. Ammo is shipping, we have doubled our efforts, including a second shift.

Phones are being answered, so are emails, the girls have taken over and are doing a great job. Our scheduling will be fine tuned once we get through a lot of these orders.

Thanks for the business, ammo is coming, we doing a good job fixing issues we have.

Do you think you guys will start back up reloading service anytime soon? Specifically for 338 Lapua? Would about loaded ammo? I would like to get you guys to put together some 338 in Lapua brass and the berger 300gr OTM bullet.
 
Along with the reloading questions... At one point you talked about 5.56 reloading... Any updates?

Looking forward to sending you back some brass from my 175 orders :)
 
So the reloading service will be turned back on as soon as our giant powder order gets here. The kicker is though, we will only reload "SWA" head stamped brass. This way, it will increase turn around time, ensure better quality, and keep the price competitive.

Everything is trial and error, the reloading service was another learning curve. It is very hard when people send in 5 different types of brass. It can get confusing and leave room for errors, which are not good with ammo.

All orders will be done through the website, this will help keep us organized.

I have just got the shipping prices down, should save a little there as of today.

Our Shop manager has us heading in the right direction, so do our office ladies. Customer service is very important to us to improve on, we were just unorganized before, and that makes it hard when it gets busy. I apologize for missing emails and phone calls, should have added these people moths ago.

The ammo is coming, we have tons of components, we just need to make it.

As soon as I get my rifle back from LRI I will be sending some 260 shells to you. Iam also building a 300 winmag and wondering when you will start selling and reloading those?

Sounds like you guys are almost over the hump.
 
We are going to take a couple day break on the preorder 308, I am going to get these Lapua 308 group buys out. I will have 3 guys loading the Lapua GB orders until they are done and boxes. Should be done by tomorrow morning so we look to have these all out the doors on Thursday.

Just finished the testing this morning. Results were outstanding. 2690 average fps out of a 24 AI MK3, 24" tube. We got 2560 average out of an 18" OBR, groups were shooting to top standards.

Got 400 rounds of my 308 175smk premium today! I will be putting it to use this weekend! If it shoots like the 5.56 77smk load you all make; I will be one happy shooter! Great products...

I am wondering if you think the 175 premium will chrono (magneto and acoustic) about the same as MK316 MOD 0?

I got 2715 fps out of 26" 1 in 8 twist bartlein shooting over a magneto speed chronograph. Accuracy at 100-400 yds has been adequate for me. In normally a 0.75 to 1 moa shooter; I hold myself back more than southwest ammunition does!

Got mine last week. 300 rounds of SMK 175 match with the SouthWest Brass. Beautiful ammo.

Glad to hear about the reload option. Absolutely going to take advantage of that!

That was quick ordered on Sunday and opening my new 260 ammo on friday. Thanks SWA from another happy customer. Hopefully I can get to the range that quick also.

Today I got an avg. of 2728fps, 46.65es, 18.83sd over 23 rds with my beta. I back checked after a perfect hit at 700yds when shooter gave a mv at 2834. I used that mv perfectly back down at 600-200. so, 2834fps out a 26" Rock 1 in 8 twist M24. Even though the ES and SD are a little high for me the ammo performed well and I will buy more. DA was 6000ft, 100 deg F, 40% hum. Hope this helps you out.
