At 54 years old I think I might have the most accurate rifle I have ever owned.

Its a Chad Dixon Long Rifles Inc build.

Made up off a factory Remington 700 action and bolt that Chad blueprinted on his super CNC.
A Bartlein barrels Rem Heavy Conture 1 in 8.5 twist chambered in 6.5 Creedmoor. Chad also installed a Thruster brake and sent it out to me.

I then put a old rem trigger on it and set the barreled action in a self Skim Bedded Mcree folder.
Topped it off with a Bushnell HDMR,Seekins Rings and Badger Base.
Ammo is hand loaded.
41.5g of H-4350 and a 140 A-Max bullet set in a new case at 2.810.
Round count is now at 25.

Waiting patiently for wave 6 to be called. Also going 6.5 Creedmoor. Assuming he used the Amax reamer?

How'd the brake turn out. I'm sending a Badger Thruster as well. How about barrel length and velocity?

First off amazing shooting. Those 6mm's are super accurate and ya can't say enough about a Bartlein barrel, every rifle you put a Bartlein on shoots great it seems. I would also like to see more pics of the entire rifle, with stock unfolded. Great job by the smith as well. That ten shot group at 100 is really nice.

I'm a die hard .308 guy but these 6's shoot ridiculous, I'm trying to resist.

wrhunter- I sent Chad the gunsmith model of thruster. That way he can cut it his way. The barrel is 27 inches from the lug to the crown. I used 8.4 mil on the 1,000y target and need to come down a .10 That puts it right @2770fps. With only 25 rounds shot I think the barrel will speed up a little say 25 to 30fps or so.
more crappy cell phone pictures and some Chad took during the machine work.

almost got just a sick group at 1k if it wasn't for that low one. still some damn good shooting!

I can't decide what I want to do with my rifle after I wear out this barrel, 6.5 cm, 260, or 7mm-08...

Good looking rifle too! I love my McRee.

Nice shooting.
Mr. Dixon put a new bartlein barrel on my sako chambered in 260 rem and I couldn't be happier.also his return time was unbelievable!!

I love my .308 Badger M2013 that LRI did for me. I love the 10 shot group you have here. I shot a .2 inch 10 shot 100 yard group. It looked like a single shot from a .45 ACP with Norma match ammo. I have NEVER been able to shoot that way in my life. I thought that type of precision was for bench guys and gun writers.

It is just amazing what these guys can do with rifles. I'm an LRI fan-boy for sure.
