Hi.

Am in the process of purchasing a reloading press, and as with everything i want the best my money can buy.
My goal is to make the most concentric ammo possible.
Have previously used a RCBS rockchucker, but they're far from top of the line.

I found the German Prazipress as in the links below and wondered if anyone here have any experience with them?
The specifications and design looks really promising, but would prefer to hear from someone with experience from it, as it's not exactly cheap.

The alternative i guess would be a Forster Co-Ax with accesories from inline fabrications.
If no one has any better suggestions.

I asked the same question about my 40 year old Rockchucker press at Accurateshooter.com and the answer was just get better dies.

Thanks, but just looking for info on presses really.
Especially the one i linked, as 950 euros is a bit of money for a press, the Co-Ax goes for less then half here even with mods.
The Rockchucker is going out any way.

For dies i have Whidden Gunworks, also got some new dies incoming for my new 284 soon, that should handle the task well.
They've gotten great reviews and fits PT&G match reamers closely from what i've found.

the bigger praezipress in the pictures seems working on the same architecture of the rcbs ammomaster : at the price of the "praezi" you can buy a coax + a really heavy-duty ammomaster + some money left...

Redding, Forster and RCBS have top-notch presses. As mentioned earlier, use good dies and you will end up with good, consistent and concentric ammo.

Years back I bought a big Midway Press. Its maybe 25% bigger then a rock crusher.

I have no idea how you could improve the accuracy of a press over the rockcrusher style / types.

I like two co-ax presses side by side on the reloading bench.
I like two RCBS partner [small Aluminium frame] presses side by side in the vehicle.
I like one Lee reloader press clamped to my desk in front of my keyboard as I watch TV on my computer.

A lot of benchrest guys use partner presses at the range
RCBS Partner presses

I am not a benchrest guy, just trying to shoot rodents and ruminants at long range.

Forster Co-ax , no fixed shell holder , no fixed die , it just lets your die and round self align . Only use Rock chucker for over size bodies of custom dies that don't fit into the co-ax and a T7 for mandreling before turning necks .

Be a pioneer and get the German press, then post a report.

I was wanting originally the Co ax for the precision it get's from self aligning the die and round, witch has made it so popular.
That was until i came across this.

Compared to a Rockchucker, made one at a time, 3 guide rods, top quality materials, built like a tank, CNC machined and tolerances held to 1/100th millimeter it should at least in my head have potential for making more concentric ammunition, then most presses.

And yes Milo i have been strongly considering this, it's just stupid to waste money if the Co Ax will prove to be better any way, but i guess i can buy one of each and find out what's best.

Spinning some round in a concentricity gauge should give me the answer rather fast.

bigedP51's 40 year old Rockchucker will probably load just as concentric ammo as that Praezi, because it is worn just enough to "self center" and compensate for slight misalignment.

My 40 year old Rockchucker does, and makes ammo just as straight as my Forster, when I use the Forster dies.

That Praezi looks nice, but what does it do when it has sizing loads applied?

It took me almost a year to finally decide on what press I wanted. I tried out all my buddies presses, none of them would have been inferior for what I was trying to do. None had a Redding press for more to try though. So after calling Redding & talking w/them & seeing how they took the time to answer my many questions & reading 100s of reviews online I decided to go Redding. Havent looked back, no regrets.

After buying I got a chance to visit & take a tour of Sierra Bullets facilities. Down in there underground testing facility where they reload I noticed all they had lined around the room was Redding presses/equipment. When I asked the guy running their testing facility why Redding he said they found them to be one of if not the highest quality presses out. Now does mean anything IDK, but any friends that have seen or used my press have said they regret at least not considering Redding products when making their purchase.

Or buy a Dillon Super 1050!
