I got a new 10-50x60 LRMOA-2 yesterday and mounted it up. When I got to the range today I was having problems getting zero at 100. I didn't have enough travel to get a 100 yard zero with my 20 moa base. When the scope was near the bottom of the elevation travel, it would not move left or right. When it was totally bottomed out on the elevation adjustment the first 15-20 clicks up walked up and to the right. After that it seemed to track up and down correctly and would adjust left and right again. I shot once moved it up 87 clicks then back down 87 and put the bullet in the same hole. It is also not usable above 35 power, its so dim I can barely see. Do they all do this or should I send it back?

do the math, 60 mm divided by 50 is 1.2 mm exit pupal, 2+ is considered usable - it is what it is for the price - the NF 8-32 BR is just a little more, without the unusable high magnification

The high magnification scopes have a limited amount of travel in them. If you're running a canted base, you can run into the issue you just ran into......

A 10-50x is a very specialized scope. Sounds like the scope is doing what it's suppose to do.

I've got a 8-32 sightron and its great even at 32x. I was hoping this would be just as good. Gonna look through a few 12-42 NF scopes this weekend and compare the two before I send it back. It being not usable above 35x defeats the purpose of paying for the extra magnification. It's really like looking through foggy glass in broad daylight.

12 -42 NF will be the same: 56 mm divided by 42 is 1.3 mm

spend some time before more $$

I have the 10-50x60SIL which is similar to yours but a different reticle. My scope is bright at 50x (as bright or better than my NF 12-42x56 at 42x) but I do experience the same behaviour with the reticle adjustements, i.e. at the extreme ends of elevation, the windage is severely limited but for 600 to 1000yd setting, the windage range is very good.
