So tell me how to loosen the turret screws on this Sightron Slll 8-32 w/o bottoming out the dials and/or taking a vise grip to them so they wont move while Im trying to loosen the screws. They're very tight. Thanks, Nancy! lol

squeeze tennis balls repeatedly for 2 weeks...then try again. If that doesn't work, repeat............

The turrets on my two SIII's weren't especially tight - ordinary hand strength was plenty. If you have ordinary hand strength, you may want to ask the factory if this is an issue. If you have questions about your hand strength, ask someone else to try them.

Also it wouldn't really matter if you did turn them all the way down just to crack it loose. Just remember where your zero is and dial it back up before you lift off the turret to place it on zero.

I came this close to doing just that, didnt try the elev turret, but the wind is way tight.

The windage screw will not budge, even turned it all the way out, then tried the screw, it just kept turning, didnt go that far, it didnt feel right, didnt wanna bust anything. The rubber lid remover didnt help, either. Now the elev, that was a different story, took all of 2 seconds and it was loose, so you guys that think Im weak, come on over and give it a try, you'll see. I'm not going to worry about it, I very seldom have to use the windage knob.

I dont think it s a muscle problem. I think its a scope problem.. Go grab your self a big boy scope and you wont have these problems.

Maybe the windage isn't meant to be zeroed..

It has a screw, it's just a matter of breaking it loose, maybe I'll wrap something around the knob and hold it with a pliers and have the wife loosen while I hold. But again, I rarely use it so it's no biggie. I dont use the elev much either cept when I have to go out to 600.

Didn't get the windage screw out yet, I'm going to try wrapping some rubber around it then get the channel locks out, that should do it.
