Hey guys, anyone shoot using these? Just got 'em in the mail today, I figured I'd be able to turn my 3.2-17 into a 9.6-51!!! Wow!!! Here's the site: https://www.buyzoomies.com/

Wish I would have thought of this earlier, so obvious, duh...

Yeah, I will! Gonna go try some really long 200 yard shots at the local range a little later when it gets sunnier. I figure anything less will be futile.

Thanks, getting ready to go now... Had a hard time getting them to work around my ghillie suit (I've never worn it to the range before, but I believe you should train like you would normally). I put an elastic band around 'em to keep 'em snug, but it keeps getting in the way of the burlap. Once I get that worked out in the mirror, I'll be on my way! Wish me luck!

Since you're doing ELR work (175+), remember your Kestrel and spotting scope.

Roger that! I almost forgot I was so excited. I was thinking about it, and Zoomies could solve all the problems people have that feel they need to go to a larger scope, they can just get these instead and it'll make it 3x more powerful across the board, and best of all, they'll work with any model scope!

Well, heading out here in 45 minutes, so anything to say before I go or recommendations (can't believe nobody else out there has thought of this) gotta get 'em in by the hour. Thanks!

"They turn my computer screen into an IMAX theater! Fantastic!"

Oh, I'm also gonna take my M4 w/ACOG, see if it makes it 12x. I'll take my armor with me and do some MOUT drills, you know, to make it all more realistic since these glasses may be serious gear that gets attached on my cummerbund later. I sort of feel like gear goober going to the range with it all on, armor and a ghillie suit, but how else can I keep it real while demo'ing these glases?

Yeah, I got an audience, the club is gonna invite the members to check out this new device I told 'em about. They only know it magnifies A scope 3x, not ALL scopes 3x, AND that you can wear 'em like binos normally. So I think they'll be impressed.

Yeah, I'm using 'em for that now and it's a bit blurry on the edges with some distortion, but I think that'll all work out at the range where I have the lens right up close to the eyepiece. Makes the screen, well, 3x bigger! Man I'm so stoked to go try these!

Yeah, right? I bet they'll make the steels seem like they're right there in front of me! They do have that HD screen type quality, what they were made to do is make the screen bigger so I figure why not the optic? Hard to explain, but the lenses are magnifying lenses, sort of making you look like the kid with the really thick glasses. But if they work well, who cares what they look like, right?

I'm loading up now! But I'll check in for the next several minutes before I leave.

I use them for handgun shooting. It's like I have a scope on it!

I did have to krylon them FDE, otherwise everyone would know what they were and how to get them.

How could you miss wearing these. Im almost willing to bet they make these illegal for competition use!!!

I reckon if you could put a crosshair across them made from spun spider web, you could take the scope off your rifle altogether.

Okay, range report. Not such a good day. I already knew some folks were gonna laugh because I showed up with an OTV vest on and a ghillie suit under it, but I thought I should use 'em "realistically". When I put those on, they laughed even harder, I couldn't concentrate (some folks don't take anything seriously) and I found that while I could get a good magnified image, I wasn't able to locate the crosshairs for the life of me... So I didn't fire any using that method but it didn't discourage me.

I just used 'em with the EOTech. People laughed, but it was just like playing COD but at the range, so joke on them! And with the gear on too, how much more realistic can you get? And since the Zoomies make the world look like a 3x HD TV, it's even better, because you can zoom right on past the guys in tan pants and jeans not taking this seriously!

So Zoomies are good for serious trainers who take the time to put their armor and ghillies on before going to the range, and who use their Zoomies with an EOTech vs. a traditional optic for grueling immersive individual training. Because if you're gonna train with Zoomies on, you may as well have the rest of your real world gear on too --that's how the pros do it.

Bottom line: Zoomies go for serious EOTech action, but only if you're serious enough to practice and get it right. Zoomies aren't for newb shooters --and it wouldn't surprise me if they milspec these out and make an issue version soon for future operators. That said, I'd wait on milspec, or get custom Zoomies made, if you plan to deploy with yours. On the other hand, if they're all that's available, Zoomies are so good I'd just get two and take both and if one broke use the other for parts.

Surprised nobody thought of using these yet...

(Note: Contact Zoomies maker, recommend Zoomies make modular monocular or dual monocular version with a picatinny rail on the side for ops essential gear, perhaps a flip up one to connect to helmet mounts, since most soldiers will likely opt to wear this during day ops and when on patrol anyway.)

I reckon they would be... Have to ask Zoomies when I call on Monday to see about that milspec dual monocular model with the side rails.

see if they have them in digi camo i'll be in for 2 pair .
and traav idpa already said NO way unfair advantage

    Okay, I'll check.

Really? It's a shame, I was hoping they'd at least be allowed in competition, that'd be badass! I mean, Zoomies alone make your targets 3x bigger.

No, Zoomies don't do clothes, but they do have a strong tactical application using EOTech's sights, especially if they were to make a flip down dual monocular Zoomies that connect to the helmet shroud for day use when NODs aren't being used. That'd be great, the soldiers, they'd love 'em! And tactical units? Definite upper edge, being able to see 3x and in HD.

I'm a Zoomie user for life now, but I still need to talk to someone at Zoomies tomorrow to see about the questions above (if they can make a milspec flip up version) and also how I can find my reticle in my scope using my Zoomies at the range. Still never worked that out.

So Zoomies still have bugs as a pure shooting item, but they have LOTS of potential. It'll be interesting to hear what the manufacturers of Zoomies thinks, I bet it never crossed their mind!

I JB weld two sets together so I can get my EOtech out to 1k, no problem.

My M4 will hold MOA out to 1000 all day long, with any bulk ammo, as long as I do my part.

    Great Post, Thank You!
I never even thought to use them whilst at the range. I've been using mine for Night Driving in the mountains, they are so powerful I can even kill my headlights and still go well over the speed limit. It's something everyone needs to try... at least once.

seriously need a pic of utilization with the eotech....

Wow, I didn't realize I could turn my UTG scope to a SB 5-25!!! Just imagine what two would do!! Amazing!

Hey, whats their stock trading at? I want in early. 100K outa buy a majority of the shares, right? Can you imagine the medical demand? Surgeons will flock to the thing! I heard Strykervet is getting "clipped" by a surgeon using them next week!

Outa be a real short story when its over... ( i hadda do it )

Okay, so Zoomies doesn't have plans on making a tactical version just yet, but if enough of you guys call and ask that might speed it along and they may put one in the works! Flip up Zoomies that attach to your helmet would be awesome for daytime ops.

Again, Zoomies didn't work too well with the scope, but they work okay with the EOTech. I couldn't get a reticle image with my Zoomies, too hard to line up with a scope. They need to work on this and it was one of the things I asked about. So what you do for now is you put your Zoomies on and shoulder your rifle like normal but you see everything HD and 3x what it normally is, so it makes your EOTech magnified. Big tactical plus in my book. What I can't imagine is why one of the high end optic manufacturers didn't jump on this first!?

They already have medical grade Zoomies but they call 'em something else. They have different levels of magnification and are suitable for the OR.

I go to the VA hospital, so it's only a matter of time before I wake up without my balls anyway.

    Yes, Zoomies are very serious.

Haters going to hate. But make the cover and watch them eat their words!

If I could get a pair with the Counter Sniper reticle printed on them, I would totally go for it, (especially since their FFP). I could range while I'm ranging.
