Based on discussion in another thread (http://www.snipershide.com/shooting...es/215995-what-stock-pack-sass-prs-stock.html) I am approaching a few quality soft goods manufacturers with the idea of designing a stock pouch specifically for the Magpul PRS stock. Here's my initial list of design ideas; please let me know what suggestions you have once I get response from a manufacturer, I'll work with them based on our established design.

Small pouch designed that meets the following specifications:
- a trapezoid shaped pouch, sized to ride on the side of the cheek riser of the Magpul PRS stock
- pouch to be velcro backed so it can be affixed to either the left or right side of the stock
- appropriate quality materials (e.g. cordura fabric, quiet zippers, etc.)
- dual zippers with cordage pulls (ambidextrous and quiet)

Also, if there are any hide members who work in the soft good field and would like first crack at taking on the design and production of this, please let me know and I can work with you before I float this idea to a broader audience.

Thanks for any feedback and suggestions.

My suggestion is to make sure the pouch is large enough to hold a 20rd 308 P-mag. That should make it useable for just about anything at all you could want to put in there and all sizes of mags for guns that the PRS could be used on. Also, maybe try and incorporate a mole-skin cheek piece cover for the shooter side of the stock.

I'm not really interested in a pouch/pack for any of my PRS-equipped rifles, but just as a casual observer...

Only one issue comes to mind with mating the pack to the cheek riser and that's at least I sometimes shoot weak-side/non-dominant side with my AR whether precision-minded or carbines which necessitates moving from right to left side of the cheek riser. Sticking a sizeable stock pack on that position will cause issues at least for some so...perhaps making the "loop" side of the material for use on the stock body and the "hook" side on the actual pouch would be advisable just in case folks want to switch the mounting side of their pouch, as well as perhaps making additional mounting strips of that material available for a truly ambi setup of the pack.

Again...best of luck with this project. Seems like several folks are interested at this point. Could be a great selling product.

To piggyback off of what ORD was saying, you COULD have a piece of 'loop' velcro that was essentially the same size as the adjustable cheek piece on the PRS. Then the 'hook' side on the pouch could be stuck wherever the shooter wanted... One product, good for righty's & those other guys :)

I like the idea of a "main" pouch holding a PMAG if possible. Could be useful as well as some cartridge elastic to hold 8 rounds or so on the outside.

For attachment, what if you had a strap that went around the back that had an integrated shoulder pad. It could be adjustable with Velcro and would fit the butt perfectly. I could see that helping the pouch attach more securely and giving the shooter an extra pad. Maybe make it removable if possible.

What about a pouch against the back that would hold a 4X5 index card for your ranges? just a slot to slide a card in.

I've finally compiled thoughts and sent them to a few people for guidance and direction. I'll updates as I hear further info. Thanks for all of the ideas and support thus far.

I can't comment on the CH issue because I have a side charger, but I was able to get the Triad to fit on my 556. Looks cool aka extra tactical points awarded.
