I'm about to have an 18.5", 1:10 rifle built and I'm wondering if 2600 fps would be obtainable loaded out to 2.95", eventually running a TBAC 30P-1.

Looking to use Lapua brass, CCI BR2s, but not sure what powder would work best. I'd like to stick to something less temp sensitive (Varget, 8208 XBR, AR Comp, etc).

If you've been down this road, please chime in with your results.

don't have one that short that I've tested with, but quick load seems to guess 2500 is possible, but at 100% of max pressure.

I think in a real gun, at sane pressures 2600 is going to be hard to get to safely.

I was getting 2560 out of a 23" rock barrel with 185 VLD'S. I was maxed out, primers were flattening out. Just a reference.

45.0 grains of Varget and a 175 SMK do 2550 from a 16.5" Rem 700 SPS with an AAC Cyclone for the booster stage.
Cartridge overall length 2.815" average.
