Went with the overdose of Apple my friend. Apple pellets, can of apple juice in the corner, and then spraying bout every hour on the hour or so after the first 2. Just got done glazing with the sauce, let it do it's thing and get nasty, then it's on. My Boyz are over with a friend and everybody is like salivating baaaaaad. Wife will be home in an hour from work so this is gonna work out great. And thanks for the compliment. Damn Traeger....... :rolleyes:

Well it's done when it's done right? Pulled it off around 2145, toasted some buns, pulled the pork apart and the feeding frenzy began. My Boyz took a piece the size of a softball and left us a piece the same size. We devoured it and it was terrible. :p

Ha, we were talking about that but the apple cider vinegar is in the bbq sauce. I was gonna add more to it but wanted to give it a go all natural on the first go around. I'd like a tad more tang to it myself, but I'm telling ya, that sauce has some great flavor levels to it and with the copious amounts of brown sugar, rub, and apple juice misting it was a salivary party in the mouth my friend. We're happy as hell with the way it turned out. Family has been texting back and forth to each other with "what the hell did we eat last night" and "when are we doing (that) again" :p

Didn't take one pic of it shredded with more bbq sauce massaged in. Sharks and Piranha's wouldn't have had a chance around the feeding frenzy. It was seriously every man and woman for themselves....... :p

We did an entire pig (14 hours in the box) this past weekend on Saturday at my elder son's wedding. He concocted all the sauces, and let me tell you, I "et" a serious amount of hog meat and left behind some very, very confused Disciples of Christ. But, that's another story.

Damnit rthur those look yum. May have to do those next week. I'm on pork probation right now. Doing some fresh Sea Bass tonight. ;) Oneshot got me all fired up for seafood and a friend just got back from the south jetty at the mouth of the Columbia. It's a tough dangerous fishery but pays off. :)

Cheap good BBQ.
2/3 KC original
1/3 Sweet baby rays
Brown sugar 2 Tsp
Dust top of sauce twice with pepper/garlic salt
Mix in well adjust to taste.
Sweet with bite

I had the beard Viking-braided and then tucked and pinned down so that you could see the tie without a 20 mph crosswind. My philosophy on weddings is whatever makes you legal, and we just happened to get married (me and v.2) at a Victorian B&B and had the reception in a converted carriage barn on the premises. I lived for almost ten years of my life in a village of 1,200 people twenty minutes' worth of two-lane south of my son and DIL's wedding venue, so no, no stones thrown whatsoever.

Pouring rain like a bitch and about to start some ribs. A friend gave me one of those breathable rain suits for Christmas; I owe him a big thanks after this.
