Flood gates getting opened turning the USA into California

It's the risk we took voting for a guy with zero core beliefs and convictions. I'm pissed that he would blatantly break his main campaign promise, the primary reason he was elected. Why the fuck is he even wasting a single minute worrying about illegals? I'll tell you why. Because he thinks this will get him adoration from the media which he craves. The dumbass doesn't seem to realize they will still loathe him just as much, maybe more. Meanwhile he pisses off the base that he needs to be re-elected in 2020. Let's hope the House of Reps holds firm on this. And just so that I'm crystal clear where I stand: fuck illegals, fuck the "Dreamers", and fuck Trump too.

I'm hoping that this is an offer that he knows the dems will never accept.
I'm also of the opinion that any of the illegals shouldn't get amnesty.
This would include the ones that have been here for years dodging the system that could have started long ago to become citizens.
Their intent is obvious and we don't need them.

My wife is an immigrant that came here legally. I remember having to sign a document stating that she would not become a burden on society.
I have no sympathy for illegals that get deported, whether it breaks up the family or not.
However, I am also a realist that lives in a border state, not terribly far from the border.
You can't expect to deport every single illegal, especially those brought here by their parents.
I do, however, believe that those pieces of shit that fly the mexican flag and burn the US flag during demonstrations should be placed at the front of the line for deportation.
The fact that he will end chain migration and increase border security will help to take care of alot of this mess.

I would rather Trump make a deal that keeps it from happening again, even if the dreamers get a bit. No deal the border stays porous and it only gets worse. So how bout a bit of common sense. I Trust Trump to get it done.

Thats what reagan said, thus the title of this thread, Reagan doomed Cali with his amnesty with promises of a wall new laws, E verify etc that are roundly ignored today. they rolled reagan and they are rolling Trump, I actually think both Reagan and Trump are both closet lefties , they both want the public to love them instead of enforcing current laws on the books, that is the original sin that is dooming us. I blame him for not wiping out the City of beirut for causing the problems we have in teh ME today. Catching a bullet means nothing. He gave amnesty to millions who got clinton and obama elected. Think about that and think how damaging it will be this time.

There is a strong message in the movie "Charlie Wilson's war" an in the credits the statement "We fucked up the end game" is so true that it's not even funny. i think Trump put an offer out the Dems will never accept. That will allow the him to then use it against the dems by showing the hispanic voters that it was him who offered the path and your so called protectors that doomed you.

hopefully, the dems don't call his bluff, but even if they do, Trump still gets the win because it was him who made the offer.

Its gamesmanship. Honestly though at this point, the wall is more important and in the end we are only talking about people who were brought here as children who did not have any choice in the matter. but there should be conditions. You cant vote and you commit a felony you are gone.

yes and no. but we are talking about only what, 1.8 million of those 20. at least if the wall is built, when those other 17.3 hopefully get theirs, it will be harder to come back. problem with deporting everyone is where do you send them when a) their own country wont accept them, b) they wont tell you where they are from, and c) its way more expensive than the wall to do it. im am in no way for amnesty. but at some point the scale of the problem becomes unsolvable. Give them TIN's and at a minimum get the tax revenue. thosoe that dont get the TIN, get deported immediately but at least that provides a record of who they are and doesnt give them citizenship but allows us to get the revenue.

Make it a Felony to hire them and they will self Deport. After stealing what they can. But That deal will never be done. The wall will happen.

i agree on the wall, i feel its more a metaphor. the wall is exactly what you said and more security at the border. personally we should be using the national guard if not active military to protect the southern border. i got nothing but respect for the border patrol, but because they are not military, they are limited on the technology and methods they can use. we are probably one of the few countries that DOESNT use their military to secure their border.

1.8 million could be a few electoral college votes in a time when every single one counts. No Amnesty!
If Trump passes an amnesty bill, the Republicans will not win the white house in 2020...period...with or without the 1.8 million.

If an illegal gets deported back to their country and that country doesn't want to accept them what then? Does that home country have a choice if we just shove the person out of the aircraft or toss them overboard onto the dock and leave what then? I don't understand how another country can stop us if we do a drive by here's your citizen back and keep on going.

If anything just chopper them across the border and toss them out feet first at 35ft. Won't kill the person but will make it a heck of a lot harder to come back.
