Hey guys. I’ve got a bighorn tl3 on the way that I’m working on outfitting as my new prs match rifle. I’m considering what trigger to go with. I’m hoping someone has experience with both the teiggertech special and the Timney Calvin elite custom. Any comparison between the two. Any opinions and advice is welcome. Thanks!

I had a Calvin elite on my tl3 for a few weeks until my trigger tech diamond arrived. Swapped them out and the Calvin elite won’t be making a return to the rifle. The trigger tech has a nicer brake and just feels better. I had a triggertech special on a prior rifle and liked that as well.

I usually shoot Timney CE and then got my hands on a TT Primary and a Bix'n Andy tac sport all set to the same 1.5lb pull.

TT and CE felt the same...CE has a nats hair of creep before it breaks...i can feel the TT "roll" before the break. To put it simpler both dont break as crisp as Id have liked.

Supposidly the TT primary, special and diamond are the same feel except the pull weight range.

Bix'n andy broke like my geissele...a glass rod. Went with BnA for my new build.

Just my .02

I overheard at the last match I was at that one of the top guys had switched from Timney CE to TT Diamond. If that helps.
My best friend's sister's boyfriend's brother's girlfriend heard from this guy who knows this kid who's going with the girl who saw Ferris pass out at 31 Flavors last night. I guess it's pretty serious.

If that helps.

I've got a TT Diamond and a Timney CE on my TL3's right now, getting a second TT Diamond here soon. The Timney CE is very good, no creep just not quite as "snappy" as the TT Diamond. I can't detect any creep or movement at all in the TT, truly impressive but it's double the cost and has a long wait list. Will have the Timney CE up for sale soon if you're looking for a deal. :)
