So I have been experimenting with 22-250, 6.5 creed, and 2 different 300 win mag rifles around 0-30 Fahrenheit. And in most cases I can run 15% higher charges with no obvious pressure signs running Varget, Superformance, 4350, 4831sc, and Rl23. For example I can run 79 grns Varget behind 110 vmax .020 off lands at 3950 fps with only slight ejector marks. And 79 grns 4831sc behind eldx 212 .015 off lands at 2980 fps with no pressure signs...are the powders getting better or what? Same with my creed...I have seen over 3000 fps with 129 gen bullet when cold. Or is it the lack of humidity when it's so cold that helps velocity?
