Happened near Miami when I was stationed at Homestead AFB. Then there was the Square Grouper fiasco, the Seabags fiasco, the burlap sacks falling outta the sky into the baseball field fiasco, the home on the canal next door to my fishing buudies home filled to the ceiling in 3 rooms fiasco, and my personal favorite, the 2 tons of random cocaine fiasco.
Sooo many more while I was down there. So ya, what would you do?Me? I'm lawyering up.

What would be perfect comedy is if someone got a big bag or brick of money and happened to get stopped by some other jurisdiction a ways down the road & that jurisdiction claimed it "may" be drug money and kept it... Then the other department can be demanding "proof" that it was theirs and was not ill gotten gains.
I bet if challenged by a halfway competent lawyer they would admit they had no proof that a specific person took specific money, unless somebody happens to have a big brown money sack with them or a huge pile of bills.
