I don't think anyone is afraid of Hogg, I'm not sure if that's a component of the crime of extortion but it certainly makes it ineffective.

Obviously Hogg just likes to hear himself talk. S&W has been losing money for a while. If Hogg really wanted S&W gone all he had to do is say nothing and wait. By bringing them into the mix he may save the company and sell a boatload of S&W's - like Obama did his entire presidency.
If American Outdoor Brands bow to the pressure I'd say without a doubt they are done. If they try to appease both sides, they will continue mediocre sales and they are done. If they come out with an "up yours, faggot" type statement it will likely resurrect their business. I'd buy a couple S&W's just out of principle.

I agree. If they handle this the right way it could absolutely help sales. Hopefully they follow the example recently set by Ruger instead of caving to political pressure like they did in the 90's.
