Our "friends" the Saudis, possibly murdered a journalist to cover up their connections to 9/11

Hi,

So here are my questions with the Saudi scenario.

1. Why someone that put themself into "self exile" in the USA would go to Saudi embassy in Turkey instead of in USA where he "exiled" himself too?
2. How can Erdogan say the guy was "cut into tiny pieces; if A) There is no "public" information a body has been found. B) He doesn't know exactly who killed the guy.

Sincerely,
Theis

I also have two questions.

1. Is there anyone who did not know that 19/20 hijackers were Saudis?
2. Is there anyone who did not know that Osama bin Lickenass was a Saudi?

Perhaps not as many know that originally OBL's target was the Saudi government and one of his original plans was to use his own plane to take out the ruling guy (and others).

This is all over Europe... biggest news while I was there. They could care less about 1980's keggers.

First, Scott Anderson's book referenced by Truth is outstanding. But is one opinion on the very complex events around the time of Sykes-Picot and the ultimate map of the Middle East drawn up by Churchill (Foreign Office) and Lawrence (working with Churchill) in the 1919-1921 period. It's not wrong. It's just one opinion. And it is not definitive, either. Having just come from talking at the T.E. Lawrence Symposium at Oxford... Scott's conclusions were an interesting topic of conversation. And they have been since the book came out and caused quite a stir. But his book was certainly not definitive on anything. It is simply a phenomenal book that presents a great argument in an arena where it is very, very difficult do reach solid conclusions.

And this was before Kashoggi got sliced, diced and chopped.

Scott's book is totally worth reading, though. Also worth reading is Ronald Florence's book on Aaronsohn and Lawrence. And about 20 others. I think I posted a reading list here a few months ago... if it's disappeared, let me know and I'll repost.

Shameless plug... Masters of Mayhem by James Stejskal. More on the tactical side. Important book.

IMHO, could we convince the Saudi's that Rachel Maddow, Paul Krugmann, Christian Amanpour... and a dozen other lefty journalists are also working on anti-Saudi stories? Because, well, go Saudi GID, go!!!

Didn't mean to imply it was the definitive book on the subject, just a great primer on "how we got here".

It all depends on what warheads you use.
There are ones designed to let you blast your enemies off the planet and then waltz in and take over the area with minimal problems after a short bit of waiting.

The payload for those go in the wrong direction. We should be developing a Gen II Tsar Bomba (the Pres Trumpa?). I know we could get well past 100 megatons and remain relatively clean:

To limit the amount of fallout, the third stage and possibly the second stage had a lead tamper instead of a uranium-238 fusion tamper (which greatly amplifies the reaction by fissioning uranium atoms with fast neutrons from the fusion reaction). This eliminated fast fission by the fusion-stage neutrons so that approximately 97% of the total yield resulted from thermonuclear fusion alone (as such, it was one of the "cleanest" nuclear bombs ever created, generating a very low amount of fallout relative to its yield). (1)

Such a device, and it's judicious use, would be one of the more humane and perhaps benevolent acts on behalf of humanity if one were to go off just above city center Riyahd.

I keep telling people this and they think I am crazy.

Back in the early days of the cold war that everybody seems to have forgotten, everybody was busy boasting about their new designs and testing them and telling everybody else how they could tune them this way or that way to help their side. Nobody seems to remember these days...
The young folks these days talk about the 2 bombs on Japan at the end of the war as if they were like the be all end all of usage and forget the next 2 decades where everybody was throwing a nuke party practically each month & the other sides were invited to be amazed.

Happens all the time, I start suggesting someone just simply dig up a some old tested designs to make a multi stage Fusion warhead, (The mad science loving part of me says go for at least 4) using non fissionable stage dampers so you can clean off the desert dwellers with almost no radiation problem and people look at me like it would be impossible.

I'm pretty sure that's why that presidential order officially forbidding making new complete designs got signed.
Imagine if Mathis went to Trump and told him that we could blow little Kim into orbit and not have to worry about radiation affecting SK or Japan or China.....

The payload for those go in the wrong direction.

There were 2 interesting side tracks in the cold war apart from the usual ones.

There was the massive detonation option with extremely low radiation track.
(Useful to completely clear an area)

There was also the very small detonation with immense amounts of ionizing radiation but designed to be very short lived track.
(Useful to clear an area of people but leave the primary infrastructure).

Hi,

Well unless you are riding around on a horse or in a 100% electrical car then you are reaping the rewards of our Government's desire for oil.

Sincerely,
Theis

Well duh I say take it. We have let the Saudis off easy for years And protected their ass on top of it.
