Kidding aside is this real?

Oh its real...I do think the 75th has a huge advantage with 3rd RTB being right there and all for these guys to train all year round when not running missions and rub shoulders with all of the cadre running the show but whatevs...

LOL, SEALs way down there. All the tax $s we spend on those boys, especially compared to the lowly NG, us tax payers should demand more...

Hi,

Yea but compare that to ODA 5232 and ODA 5233 and their placing in the 10th Annual International Warrior Competition at KASOTC this past May....

  1. Lebanon ~ Black Panthers
  2. China ~ PAP Team 1 (Snow Leopards)
  3. USA ~ Stanislaus County Sheriffs SWAT
A Sheriffs Office SWAT.....yes this is correct.

Sincerely,
Theis

The title should read little old uscg beats navy air force and marines in sniper competition !!
Little bit of useless trivia, when the Coast Guard stood up Deployable OPS group/Marine Security Response Team they sent 3 guys to SEAL training and 2 passed. The Navy says that less than 20% pass but the Coasties had a 66% pass rate.

Yep they are currently active duty seals
Back in the 80’s the CG created the International Maritime Law Enforcement Training Team to train, embed with and operate the Colombian counter narcotic military units (pre Search Block). The guys in IMLETT got pipelined thru Ranger school, Robin Sage and several other ODA schools before heading south. For a service that is chronically underfunded and ill equipped they have been successful at using what is available. As for the Coastie SEALs, I knew that they were going to do a rotation with a SEAL team before going back to MSRT but didn’t know they were still there.

The Corps doesn’t do the following:

-allow Scout Snipers to stay in their MOS past a certain rank, unlike the Army
-spend anywhere near the amount of money the Army does on training and gear
-doesn’t have full time , essentially govt sponsored competitive shooters mentoring the rest

That being said, when it comes to rank and file real snipers, most recognize Marine Scout Snipers as a cut above.

hahahahahahah, yeah a cut above Edison NJ Boy Bcout troop 411 rim-fire team.

I’ve see you talk shit like 19 year old boot on here for years. I note that you dodged my question, is it because you are indeed 19 or you’re older, immature, completely lacking in any knowledge regarding actual snipers and pretty much anything not relating to...whatever you did in the Army, what 20-30-40 years ago? Don’t bother answering, I’m not wasting my time on an old never-was.

Dont be mad Lebowski, I know you have the redasss that your service didn't measure up to the NG standards, or even USCG standards this time, I know they can shoot pretty good.

Sorry you got mad man, there is always next year to prove you all are a "Cut Above" but for now, the results tell a different story.

Making excuses for the USMC is boot material. Even with their problems there is no reason to get your ass kicked by the fucking Coast Guard and national guard.

I must say I am a bit disappointed in my old &th they got beat by the Marines, granted the whole division is only a HQ staff right now but still they got beat by Jarheads, and the Coasties, the team needs to do the honorable thing, and I dont mean make excuses......

Just depends on who’s got the most money and time. It’s awesome that the Army spends so much on near permanent staff instructors and the AMU and you can see that effect here. I wish that the Corps would do the same but I’m not boohooing about it. If you guys really want to find out which sniper school produces the best graduates, put only fresh sniper school grads against each other in a sniping competition.
