How/what did you do to get your problem resolved I’m having the same issue with the elevation turret on my etr that I just got
Steve - That's why I've stuck with the Bushnell LRHS 4.5-18x44 on my 6XC hunting rifle. It's still a ffp scope, but that circle reticle - along with heavy stadia that extend about 7/8 of the way into the center at 4.5x - makes for quick aiming at close targets. I haven't looked through a Midas TAC 4-16x44, but don't think I'd want to use the 6-24x50 Midas TAC on my V-22 Ranch for close-in shooting. Right now, I've got sfp duplex scopes on all the AR15s that might be used for calling, and although I'd like to re-equip them all with Midas TAC scopes, it's probably not going to happen for that simple reason.
I'm familiar with the 3-12x44 LRHS and the circle hunting reticle but I sold it a while back. I think it would be fine for coyote hunting.
I just wanted a cheap SFP scope that was on the small side for my CZ527 in 5mmFBI. Bought a Talos 4-16x40, it's mildots which are true at 10x for holdovers/holdoffs, or I dial on 16x for PD's, Jack rabbits, or steel, then leave it on 4x for calling yotes. Lot's of junipers where I call. All those years when I was young using fixed 4x and a thick reticle, kinda brings back those good time feelings.
If money were no object I'd by a Zeies HT for this rifle. I like the size, weight and glass.
Reticle too small in the 4-16 TAC on 4x for me so it's on my 6mmFatRat for long range, mostly at 16x.
So the magnification adjustment ring there is a num with a screw in it. can you take that screw out and remove that num?
No, the bump is part of the ring itself. The screw is just to make it easier to attach some type of throw lever to the magnification ring without having to clamp all the way around it.

Well most pictures online show what the reticle will look like at low power and high power. I would go on different websites and look. On midway USA it shows what the reticle looks like at max and min magnification. But I’m pretty sure it’s not too big to use if anything it will be small. But I do not have a MOA version. Also you need to think about what kind of shooting your doing. If your going to use it for long range or competition Mil is what most people use. Or if your going shooting with other people ask what there shooting MOA or mil. So they can call corrections if you have different reticles you will be speaking two different measuring languages. Hope this helps.

Interesting, 3d printed piece from a machine shop. I suppose it's cheaper to make than a cut piece of Delron. I might grab for fun.

I have them on two Bushnells, a Burris, and an Athlon. I just bought an ETR that has the carbon fiber version that is the strongest material that they use. they make good levels too. @Tyler Kemp

Nice I’ll have to buy one. It didn’t interfere with your bolt? I have a howa 1500. What do you have it on
Rem 700 with a big after market bolt knob. No problems with it interfering with the knob.
Have a few ok the mk 3D print stuff. Just broke one throw lever from rifle sliding from verticals position and hit the ground. It broke the top of the lever right off so I purchased their milled one as well. Will keep the 3D print ones on my others just if more snap will convert to the milled ones.

What is size of your caps? Are they vortex brand ?
Adamount just came out with caps for the Ares ETR. I recommend using those.
took my ETR out to 500,600,750,1k and down twice and it worked great. Identified shots at 1k easily. Very happy with this scope
I got my new replacement Ares ETR Brown back today from Athon warranty today. The marks do line up on this one, both for elevation and windage.

Hey so I just got my ETR and the elevation lines don’t line up there in between lines on the cap. Do I just contact athalon I bought the scope thru midway USA
I'd just send it back to Midway as defective. I like Midway USA as they are very customer friendly. If yer gonna send it back *don't* mount it! I'm sure Athlon is fine as well but I'd let the retailer be the go between in this case. I do a lot of customer service and expedite RMA's and warranty repairs for a living in my job and I'd always recommend a consumer have a professional advocate wherever possible

Never had to return anything to Midway but I would not hesitate if I'd gotten a scope that has misaligned turrets right out of the box. Let Midway chew on Athlon about it and Athlon will be more inclined to improve their product control before they ship them.

I sent mine right to athlon
The pieces that the marks are engraved on are just glued in place.
Both elevation and windage came loose on my ETR and they will spin freely.
They did warranty it and told my dealer to give me a new one.
I traded it NIB for a Viper PST gen 2 on the spot.
I gave my pst2 to my niece & it was a good scope, nice turrets, decent glass, comfortable eye box, & I like the eve-2c reticle. I also got a Nikon fx1000 for my nephew & for the money this a good one 6-24x50 ffp for under $700 & the glass is as good or better than the pst2
I have been thinking about getting an athlon etr but the made in China for $1000 has made me hesitate on pulling the trigger. I have a 34mm spuhr mount sitting here that needs a scope. Since the bushnell dmr2 pro has come down in price at $1475 & goes on sale for $1275 for a little extra you get a proven in competition Japanese made scope & great warranty. My friends xrs2 has glass almost as good as my pmii. So this makes for a tough decision do I save $$ & take a chance on the etr or spend a little extra on the dmr2 pro for the better glass & reliability. I just got a leupold mk5hd 25x cch on sale for $1700 & the tmr model is $1750 now & theses scopes are close to pmii quality. There’s a lot of competition here you could save a little $$ & maybe get a good one or spend a little more & get a really good scope
What kind of scope caps are you guys running on your ares etr. And what size. I was looking at the defender caps?
