As most modern desktop motherboards don't have the port for an internal floppy drive on them, I'd suggest just getting an external USB floppy drive to keep on hand, or keep and old PC in the closet.
Few years ago I had a fresh out of Paramedic school rookie with me on the ambulance. We were going out of district with that distict's engine. Got disregarded, then got asked to return. I looked at the rookie and said exactly this "if there is any shit come down from what I am about to do, I got it. I'll make sure you are not going to be in trouble. But what I am about to do, you cannot do." He said in a shaky voice "what are you gonna do?" I said, "just watch." Checked on scene, got out (he's following) walked right past the Captian standing on the sidewalk, into the house. I asked the fairly new guys on the engine if it was going to be a transport. They said no. I said "your computer working?" Yes. I did an about face, told my rookie "let's go" walked right past the Captain without a word, got in the ambulance and told the rookie to drive. Cleared over the radio with dispatch.
See, some lazy asses don't want to write a no transport patient care report, and throw it off on the ambulance crew. Yeah, fuck that.
The rookie looked at me and said "damn I can't wait until I've been here long enough to do shit like that!" I said, you'd better wait about a decade and a half, stay out of trouble, and make a hand, every shift.
There is such a thing as a "made guy". Seen it for a long time.

You don’t have to force muslims to eat pork.... They just have to be hungry! I watched them eat dehydrated pork patties and ham slice out of first generation MRE’s all the time during Provide Comfort.

Dehydrated pork patty and dehydrated beef patty were the ones I hated the most. Never ever had time to rehydrate those things. I always brought ramen noodles and McDonalds cheese burgers into the field. Those cheese burgers lasted for ever.
All the MREs sucked. That's what that little bottle of Tobasco was for. To this day the taste of Tobasco takes me back.
