Broke my AI PSR trigger

Was at the range doing my thing, and all of a sudden, after squeezing of a 6th round of .338 Lapua, the trigger pulled to the complete rear of the housing area. I nudged it forward and it fell into two pieces. It almost looked like a stress fracture from potentially being tightened down too hard - maybe? Thing is, I've never adjusted it.

Has anyone else broken the AI AX or AXMC trigger shoe?

Will the AI curved competition shoe be a direct replacement part? I'll call MHS tomorrow for the part if it'll work.

That part should work. Double check with them though when you call as I know the trigger hanger is different on the AW which the shoe linked above it technically for. If I was home I'd try it out and see if they cross-fit.

You could throw a competition trigger in it while you are "down there"

The shoe for the factory AI trigger isn't on their webpage, and it's $103... I recently bought one to install on the CG mod 22 in my 223AI build.

Wish I hadn't, because the CG mod 22 shoe is damn close in shape and feel to the factory AI shoe-- close enough I didn't change it. The factory AI shoe is still in the package, lol!

@MACHTECH they have spare pets to sell, but I’m going to buy from the gent above. A new trigger shoe is $103 and change. Nothing about these AI rifles are cheap ?

It most likely was the choke hold like follow through. I’ll try slapping the trigger switch moving forward
