I generally oppose gun control, but I support the ban on assault weapons and I support a slightly longer waiting period to purchase a gun. With today’s Internet technology we should be able to tell within 72-hours if a potential gun owner has a record.

I'm thinking more along the lines of "voting from the roof top" at times. None of the parties really give a shit about the common folk (or at least the majority of them, the ones in seats of power). Methinks we're about one or two laws away from an open rebellion by some; and sadly I think that is all it will take to get it started.
