PVA Status Updates: Hancock Rifle & NUCLEUS Barreled Action

I think there’s a number of factors involved. Even besides the fact that probably can't disclose or hint at what their cost was on the Bravo. The whole Hancock idea was based on a limited set of options to keep production costs low It allows PVA to sell them at this price. When you
factor in that it is more than just not including the stock, but the logistical changes of pulling some items from assembly line process, having someone spend more time dealing with customer requests, and the manual time & costs of processing partial refunds (or just allowing credit toward another ARC item), I bet it adds up pretty quick. Even in the very remote chance it was offered, I would't expect to get back all that much of the cost of the Bravo.

another option - allow us to pay an upgrade cost and use another KRG stock from PVA. looking at other sources where the Bravo is out of stock, the XRay is in stock.

Just got off the phone with PVA, they said my JHR is scheduled to go into production/assembly in April once the KRG stocks arrive (order #2332). @schlaiek I should be just behind you ;)

Tough to sift through all the BS looking for important JH information in this dang thread ?

Wonder how many JH rifles PVA got orders for? Probably more than most manufactures get in several years.

I'm pretty excited to get mine but have no problem waiting, it's going to shoot lights out. Learned long ago that a quality custom built rifle or handgun takes time. Anywhere from 6 -24 Months is to be expected so to get one in a year when you're told 6-9 Months is perfectly fine.

PVA is great. But don’t think that just because it takes a long time, doesn’t mean it’s quality, and also, if a known custom shop turns out a full build in two weeks doesn’t mean it’s inferior.

Imho, I would go for the quick build without a pre payment every time.

Sent in my FFL info for Nucleus barreled action. 1y and 33d since order received. Getting close.

Don't hold yur breath, I was asked and sent my FFL info in over 4 months ago. I was asked for final payment 5 weeks ago...still waiting.

I have and was told that the rifle is complete and waiting for a Bravo stock. What an absolute comedy of errors, if it isn't one thing it's another.
I will say, I understand being annoyed, but you could have been more forthcoming to include that you already knew why it was delayed.

Hopefully you like it when it comes in. Sucks to have had to deal with so many delays and issues.

Tell me, what difference did it make that I didn't include the fact that the barreled action is done and the stock is nowhere in sight. Seems to me that leaving that tidbit out didn't make the situation seem worse than it is.

A - Don't hold yur breath, I was asked and sent my FFL info in over 4 months ago. I was asked for final payment 5 weeks ago...still waiting.

B - Don't hold yur breath, I was asked and sent my FFL info in over 4 months ago. I was asked for final payment 5 weeks ago...still waiting. Oh by the way, now PVA doesn't have any stocks to finish my rifle.

Your choice.

Well, when people have been complaining, myself included, about lack of information from PVA in to what is going on with their orders, your statement A is that lack of information.

Also, not everyone on the thread is waiting for a JHR. Some are waiting on barreled actions and don't have the delays on the stock like you did.

A - Don't hold yur breath, I was asked and sent my FFL info in over 4 months ago. I was asked for final payment 5 weeks ago...still waiting.

B - Don't hold yur breath, I was asked and sent my FFL info in over 4 months ago for my JHR. I was asked for final payment 5 weeks ago...still waiting though because PVA let me know they are waiting on Bravo stocks (as per the announcement on this thread) and so I expect it next month

If you're pissed, that's fine if you want to be pissed. Maybe you don't realize your statement A sounds like you're in the dark as to what is going on while statement B shows someone who is aware of why its delayed and (should) know an ETA for it arriving. Very different experiences for the customer to know why its delayed vs having no info at all.

Read my post #1358 above regarding the time frame on the Bravo stocks.

This is clearly not worth any more time. Not sure if you're trolling or just really believe what you're writing. In any case, wish you well and hope your JHR arrives shortly after they receive the stocks they expect to be shipped to them at the end of this month.

A great deal can be 'gleaned' from each order that has been paid for and/or delivered... What order number, just what the order was for, when it was placed, whether a barreled action with or without barloc, what caliber, etc. can tell a lot about what is going on... It is obvious to me PVA is completing orders more quickly now, limited mainly by components from vendors. The latest being Bravo chassis and rifle barrel blanks???... Hopefully, the situation will improve...

I spoke to PVA today and they indicated they were only waiting on barrel blanks & bravo chassis. my build is still projected to happen next month with early/mid May ship date. (2331 JHR in 6.5c)

side note I neglected to add yesterday: I also asked about upgrading to a KRG XRAY and I was told they were out of stock to. I should have asked if this would be an option when the blanks arrive, but I didn't.

Well I called PVA on Thursday looking for a 6BR TL3 cut rifled barrel... they answered on third ring... had the barrel already built and sitting on the shelf thanks to a cancelled order...it mailed out that afternoon and should be on my front porch Monday.

So I'm happy.... :) and many thanks to whoever cancelled their 6BR HawkHill barrel.

I have been keeping busy with my .22.

I recieved this email this morning.

Patriot Valley Arms Customers,

If you are receiving this email you have a barreled action on order with us. Recently American Rifle Company has recently decided to cease offering their BARLOC quick barrel change system due potential issues regarding repeatability.

As a result, Patriot Valley Arms has elected to remove the item from our inventory and any builds until we feel the issue is resolved. If your order included a BARLOC cut, your barrel will instead be shouldered for direct attachment to your receiver. Your invoices will reflect the change. If you do not have a BARLOC included in your barreled action order you can ignore this message.

Action wrenches are available on the website to assist you in swapping barrels in the future. Any performance or warranty related issues with the BARLOC system should be addressed directly with American Rifle Company.

Thanks,
Jeremy

I guess that means the Barloc I have on order with ARC will not show up anytime soon. Sure hope I can get a refund.

Got the email this morning as well. Would rather have my BA setup using a barrel nut and non-shouldered barrel. Then when the Barloc issue is resolved I can switch it out.

Yeah I'm a little peeved about this BarLoc deal & the lack of information on it. I realize it's not PVA's product, but that's the WHOLE REASON I ordered 2 barrels with my action.

Fuck

For those of us with an action and barloc is the recoil lug different for a shouldered barrel vs a barloc?

Wondering if we will need to procure a different lug.....

Will this speed delivery times? Any chance of a discount on wrenches? Whole point of the barloc was so wouldnt need to buy an action wrench.......

Barloc lug has the cone on the barrel side of it for the tension collar instead of flat and flat for a barrel nut/shouldered barrel.

Just got this at noon today.

Good afternoon,

If you are receiving this email, your order is going into polishing this week.

Expect your product to ship within the next 1-2 weeks. If you've requested Cerakote, that will add an additional 4 weeks to your shipping estimate. If you do not want to have the cerakote applied in order to reduce the lead time please let us know immediately so that we can remove it from work order.

If you ordered a barreled action please be sure you've sent us a copy of your receiving FFL.

Thanks so much.
