The Fix from Q

We aren't providing extensions for hacks to produce barrels. There will be extensions for quality barrel makers, like proof, APA, etc. to produce quality barrels for The Fix.

I believe it would be my problem if i purchased a barrel that turned out to be a shit barrel from a third party, not yours. That's a risk I'm willing to take if i can get some extensions. Then I can downsize quite a bit, my B/T barrel is amazing and would like to have more by them

Remington will happily sell you a gun.

If I wanted to give my money to a company that sales overpriced rifles so I could immediately take it to gunsmith and have him make it right, I would have. Instead I gave it to you for a product that does what you claimed and put my money and trust in your company. Doesn't mean I can't be frustrated, my B/T is amazing and would like to have more from them.

Oh shit, Kevin's here! Its y'all's big moment. Time to drop those panties and hop in line, ladies. Y'all know who y'all are... sitting at y'alls keyboards; eyes closed; mouths open... tongues flapping around :p. esw004 clearly gets dibs for freaking out and already liking every post. JohnnyPhaze... you're up next buddy.

And while we are on the topic of sucking.... that magwell... not good. The rifle feeds like shit. Looking at you @Kevin Brittingham

I don't want your money or call. However, Remington has a phone and has a lay-away program...

You don't list Q's phone number on the website for any of your customers to call but you will take their money. Not surprising from a guy from who we see the following; (insert the rest of my comment that you seem to have talked around)

-"Cruising the forum late at night insulting customers, blaming prior business partners for past failures, and insulting the competitions products"

-"regardless of an undisclosed lead time, regardless of the customer complaints, regardless of the bait and switch with the Bartlien barrels"

"Professional"? My profession is running a small arms companies and being successful.

But there's no integrity.

Did he touch a nerve by speaking the truth? Or does king of the douchers only attract other douchers?
IMO y'all are the douchebags but w/e man. The hivemind you people get in and circle jerk on things you don't like without looking at the big picture or thinking outside your narrow minded points of view gets old. So yeah it kinda strikes a nerve but not in the way your dumb-ass thinks.

That all you can come up with dude? Can't come up with a coherant agruement so you just try and make fun of me? Good to know you peaked in maturity in high school.
You didnt make a point worthy of an argment. It was pointed out you have an uncomfortable infatuation w/ keving and/or his company, you lashed out, I laughed and called you a doucher, then you made a fairly incoherent rambling w/ a made-up word, so I followed suit.
(Just so you know, on this page page alone, kb made 11 comments - guess who liked 9 of them? not "three or four", NINE. So are you a liar or do you really not realize how much koolaid youve drank?

@Kevin Brittingham Can you provide some real info?

When will Mini ship? It’s been 12 1/2 months since preorder and at least 4 months since last promised delivery date.

When will .300BLK be available for mini?

I've actually been critical of some of the things that they have done, do I like their products sure, do I agree with how they handle things or everything they do/say things hell no. And as to the likes yeah I miscounted (my bad) instragram habits die hard. What word did I make up and in what way is any I said incoherent? Does no one know how to think critically and make arguements anymore? All you have done is deflect.

Never pre-order a gun. I never understood why people do this. I bought my fix rifle within the first 2 months it was released. You're basically giving them a free loan till the gun shows up. YMMV.

*Edit*
This applies to all companies not just Q.

So you bought a rifle from a store, congratulations! Not sure where I could have found this rifle a year ago.

At the time of order the understanding was a $300 discount and 6 month wait. So basically 10% off retail and a unique product. Yes it’s a free loan but my $1300 deposit wouldn’t have earned $300 in interest in 6mos and not even in a year. Many boutique small businesses operate this way, ever heard of Kickstarter?

Would I do it again? Hell no!

I was offered a refund numerous times, I chose to wait because it’s not that big of a deal. I’m really pissed that it is hard to get information from Q. I can forgive issues in manufacturing but it’s hard to excuse poor customer service and support.

Congrats on your vaporware. IDGAF if it's a small company or a large gun company, I'm not pre-ordering. Perhaps you should take the refund and then buy one when they become a real tangible item.

I damn sure wouldn’t pre order something that exists on a shelf somewhere. But that’s really not what is going on here is it.

Woo, Kevin replied to me!!

Haha. Thanks man - I have like $4k in Q products so I'll just take that as a compliment I guess.

Looking forward to those Fix accessories sometime this year!

Sorry, we will not be openly supply barrel extensions. They will only be supplied to select barrel makers.

Sure. Thank you. Have them make you barrels and send to us, we will install extensions.

This from the idiot that spent a month and 40 posts claiming his rifle was inaccurate before figuring out his scope was loose in the mount...

But there's no integrity.
Yet, order velocity continues to increase at an increasing rate... We are accessible thru email and social media. Do you call Amazon?

There was no bait and switch. That is a forum lie. Everyone that ordered while guns were advertised with B/T barrels received those barrels, even though we had to rework every single 308 barrel that they ever produced.

If you go back and actually read, I was told it would not be accurate with hunting ammo because rifles can't be expected to be accurate with any hunting ammunition (ELD-X, Nosler Accubond, anything). The guy just kept saying Tula and Core Lokt over and over again, idk, it was weird. You hunt, I hunt... thats just not true. So my argument was what is acceptable accuracy for a semi high-end bolt action. No one here could/would step forward and demonstrate that the .308 could shoot well. So that was the deal there.

The scope issue was completely separate issue. I had mocked up the rifle but was sending it back bc it had the wrong barrel on it (y'all's CS was great so thank you for that). So when I got it back after 2 weeks, i forgot that I hadn't fully torqued the rings when i had done that mock up. Pretty idiotic, fair enough. I shot it... noticed that scope was loose the next morning... corrected the issue. Less than 24hr issue.

Anyways, I assume you don't really give a fuck about me, i don't really give a fuck about you, so we can sit here and "insult" each other and no one would ever care. But I think you know just as well as anyone else that there are some problems with the rifle. The bolt lift is less than ideal, the magwell is problematic, the cherry bomb sucks at mitigating recoil and/or muzzle rise (seems like a great suppressor mount but y'all call it a brake and there are a lot of people out there doing crazy shit to avoid having their vaginas bruised by what is supposedly horrible recoil)... I just have a hard time believing that is the best that you could do. The feed issues are what really killed the rifle for me. I feel like that is something you could have figured out before releasing it. Just saying.

Likely to soon discover that you are using the wrong mags...

I’m over here just counting the days to make my 9hr drive (one way) to Q to build my 6.5 Fix. May 17th can’t come soon enough!

Only sad part is I won’t be able to hang out too long as my wife and pups will be waiting for me, lol.

I own the Fix in 6.5. Got to shoot it last weekend, and have nothing but good things to say about it. Mine did not have any issues. No problems with bolt lift, no feed issues (used 10 round Magpul mags), and with factory ammo I was getting about 1 MOA without trying. 0.7 MOA if I was really on. Beautifully made rifle. Workmanship and quality are simply superior.

I would like to see a larger bolt knob, and a factory wider buttpad with recoil pad. But that is about it.

Don't know what the issue is with the Cherry Bomb or the Bottle Rocket. Seemed good enough, and I liked the taper mount ability with suppressor adaptor.

No, I don't work for the company. No, I do not know KB personally or any one else at Q. But I can appreciate a quality product.

I have no issues with KB's attitude. I did not pay him to be my friend. I am paying for a rifle.

What’s interesting about the fix is I think the bolt dimensions give it the impression that’s it’s harder to lift. I thought mine was heavy lift (sub 50 serial). But when I tried my r700 it was about the same. It’s just the smaller bolt localized the force so it seemed like more
