Gunsmithing Possible problem with new Bergara

Recently bought a Bergara HMR .300WM and I’m not thrilled with the bolt.

When the rifle is uncocked it wiggles up and down roughly 1/4”. When the rifle is cocked and ready to fire the bolt doesn’t wiggle at all, a quick call to bergara CS and they said this is totally normal... but I highly doubt it.

Aside from pinging my OCD, is this an issue? If it isn’t that’s great but is there a low cost fix?

Note: I haven’t shot the rifle yet and I bought it used. Based off pictures from the original owner, the rifle groups between .50 and .75 MOA which is just fine for me st my stage of learning.

You’re on the Space Coast. Come on over to VCGHC and shoot some long range. The Bergara’s seem to shoot well enough from the few I’ve seen come through here.

No pressure on the cocking piece from the sear if it's uncocked. That's probably why it wiggles.
Go shoot it.
