So where is this guy living that he's personally witnessed this many times?

Blah blah blah, I didn't have the facts. Big fucking deal. I guess that you missed the wreck where the shit stain crossed the center line and killed a bunch of people on motorcycles, or the semi truck that crossed I-40 and took out a group of people....... and multiple others. Just because he's a badge wearing person doesn't get the hero status that some of you like to throw around.

The question still stands.. I guess he's one of the drama queens ?

Are you always such an asshole? Or did you get extra piss in your cheerios today?

We just finished moving. During the process of packing up our closets, the wife asked me if I can still fit in my Dress Greens. Hell no I can’t, but I returned the favor by asking her if she can still fit in her wedding dress. She didn’t have much to say after that...

Well, my Blues don't fit any more either............

What are you trying to say? The badge guy is more special than the electrician that was killed restoring power after the storm or the guy that drowned after falling off the fishing trawler, or the farmer that was killed by his cow ???
I guess that "Hero" term has really been degraded from over use.

Maybe you can provide me with a list of the more special animals on this farm.

Asshole? If that's what helps you. So be it.

Today we honor Pamela Donovan of Brighton, Massachusetts, who lost her life on this day in 1968. She is one of eight women whose names are listed on The Wall.

"2nd Lieutenant Pamela Dorothy Donovan, U.S. Army died of a rare Southeast Asian virus on July 8, 1968. Born in Ireland, she was assigned to the 85th Evacuation Hospital in Qui Nhon."

Pamela is remembered on Panel 53W, Line 43 of The Wall

Drama queen I am not. It’s about seeing a small child dealing with the loss of their parent or loved one. I have been in the 911 business for over 28 years and have been to a number of disasters including Hurricanes Harvey, Irma and a number of large widespread wildfires and many other incidents. I do not and never will consider myself a hero like you threw the term out there. The people I serve with are heros and have done some heroic things in my presence over the span of my career. I am lucky and honored to serve with them.
I’m not trying to ever say any life is more important than another. All lives matter.
Simply that I have seen a small child have to deal with the death of someone who will not be there for the milestones that child will have in their future. This is truly what that picture meant to me. Over my career I have lost a number of a number of friends to violence, fires, cancer and suicide and I don’t want to count how many times I have put on my dress uniform to go to their funerals.
Take my posting as you will, but I am no drama queen nor do I throw the hero status around as just a word as you did. I believe we do have true hero’s in this country and one day I hope you are able to understand that. I will reserve the rest of my thoughts on your posts as not to derail or take away from the meaning of this thread as inspirational.
I did see you have USMC in your screen name and want to thank you for your service to our country. I have nothing but respect for those who serve our country our communities and our general public.
I welcome you to send me a personal message if you want or need more clarification on my position.

I think you're the only one using the word hero here. I never met Officer Anderson, so I cant comment on his hero status.

I think the pictures that were posted hit some of us with kids a little close to home and I don't think it was necessary for you to comment as you did.

Due to the lengthy discussion that is anything but motivational, I expect any moment @Dirty D will break out his spank bank and treat you guys to some attitude adjustments. I will get things started with some quality fapping material to get your minds back in the gutter where they belong.

A massive amount of "I" in your post.
Reading comprehension is not your forte is it? Maybe you could quote where you think that I missused the term "hero"???

Awwww, did my words touch you in that special place?
Sheesh, I am thinking you should change your screen name.

Sorry for the side track. I am finished with the soy latte frapachino three pumps of cocoa with whipped cream softies.

That's fucking rough man. I have a son that age and that picture kills me.
A picture similar to that 5 years ago put my ass in a admin desk job. My wife and I went to the funeral and later that night she saw the photo. That was that! She either wanted me to start my career over in a new field from scratch or get out of enforcement entirely....they had an Sgt. Position in admin and I laterally transferred divisions that same month!

Looking back it was a good move. Not only did it make her happy, but I love it and it's given me a lot more opportunities and perspective.
