These threads are always an interesting juxtaposition between the members here who are angry that the police were fired upon, and the ones who are sure they deserved it.

Nah. When it happens to cops, the lib media focuses on the actual event, not the inanimate objects used.
No one thinks anyone "deserves it".
These things are interesting as no one understands the comedy of errors that becomes a tradgedy.
In the end it comes down to one side you have a desperate or criminal person and on the other you have a group of people poorly trained for when the cucca flies and with personalities geared toward taking control and getting the task at hand finished.
A desperate person will be rendered safe by giving them space or time to realize its not so desperate. Shit in our CJ system even after firing shots there is likely to be no repercussions.
The criminal person is a bit more dangerous for resorting to weapons by choice.
The police dont get enough training to react to the sudden introduction of weapons or resistance and the typical response is overwhelming return response of what was done to them to restore order.
If this was a planned warrant Im guessing the intel didnt include mention or suspicion the guy would be armed.
These conversations have their value but no one of really knows what happened so its all speculation and talking out of our asses.

A grandmother in Baltimore called the cops incessantly about drug dealing. They burned her house down with her and others in it. So I wouldn't necessarily say they are condoning it
