Maggie’s Motivational Pic Thread v2.0 - - New Rules - See Post #1

To atempt to ease some of the sorrow of this day, I have a story from last week, at a fire station in Texas. We've got a twisted sense of humor. Once the laughter subsided from something that shouldn't have been as funny, Brent said...

"When Firemen die, and go to heaven, God says I have to let you in, but you people go over there. Don't talk to anyone else."

During my time on the volunteer FD, we had a portly guy with MR who had been adopted by the dept years before my arrival.
Jeff’s dad had ran out when he was young, so Jeff lived with his elderly mom and his alcoholic brother.

Every time Jeff was at the station when a call dropped, we would bring him along in the engine. All he ever wanted was to help and make a difference.

When we rolled out of the door of the station in the rig, Jeff would say “Let’s Roll!”

He loved that story of ordinary citizens rising up and doing extraordinary things.

From the Nevada State History Museum in Carson City....

“An exhibit on Nevada's desert climate showcases the museum's best-known preserved oddity: a mummified cat, displayed in the tree in which it was found near the old trading post of Genoa. "It's not a one-time occurrence," said Bob. "At least two other times since I've been here people have called and said, 'I've got a mummified cat; would you like it?' And I've said, 'No, we already have one. But thank you for thinking of us."

Damn nozzle-buddies think you know everything....

:D :ROFLMAO::cool:

Don’t you have a truck that needs waxing or something?

I’m outta here... just heard there is a new batch of maple frosted up...

Cheers, Sirhr

If they can micro-chip Dogs.....just sayin

And pigeons.
The neighbor brought his boys over Sunday to shoot some clays.
While were shooting a small flock of pigeons flew over and the youngest boy decided to blast on them.
It had a leg band with an microchip.
Haven't scanned the chip yet but I'm guessing it's a racer.
We've gotten them before.

This is one of the reasons I retired at 55. Sure, I could have made it to 60, but the company I worked for was going down hill fast. Hiring people for their degrees without any work experience. You tell them that what they want to do won't work and then they get their feeling hurt and take it out on the workforce. Idiotic stuff. We're dealing with government regulated processes. They think the world works like a text book and when you tell them that's not the way the job works, they get hurt and go off to their safe space but then come out swinging, thinking they know more than us who have been doing this job for 30+ years. All the while, the work isn't authorized and nothing gets done. I was never a people person anyway, and these folks proved my point over and over and over again!

After 30 years I retired early on April 1 of this year for mostly the same reasons. We had to develop a whole new HR manual to help first line management deal with parents when they call and want to know why their child hasn't gotten a raise or promotion recently (usually within 4 to 6 weeks of their hire date). When they tasked me with the job I told them this will be a one paragraph manual, something like "None of your fucking business. Your child is an adult any HR discussion will be had with them." It is embarrassing to think how many times mommy would show up at the office because their precious little twit got talked to or written up for an HR issue. When I say office I am talking about a 1.5 million square foot operation center.

I have a friend who is a business rep for a union. He says they have to have classes to teach new members "What a job is". He said they have to go through the basics like starting time is 7 so you have to be there ready to start work before 7, you can't use your phone at work, you can't leave before end of shift, you can't take long lunches, there is a person called a supervisor that is going to tell you what to do and you have to do it. He said they lose a lot of people during this class.

I know the solution - Ban Mopeds!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Banning Drugs worked
Banning Guns worked
Banning rape worked
Banning murder worked
Banning Knives worked

they need to ban Hats, Hoodies, masks and sunglasses too so CCTV can film them and they can be sent to prison for 6-10 days

so you never had a rubber snap?
Ever try to roll one on the wrong direction? if yes, did you throw it away and open another one? Or did you flip it around and roll it on?

Ever have your girl get a script for an antibiotic that eliminated the effectiveness of the pill?

This is not the thread for a debate about abortion.

Post a meme/picture/gif/video if you hate the previous one. Otherwise, Dirty D will drop vile images he considers eye-candy...
